ובזה כמובן ופשוט ג"כ, שכציווי רבותינו נשיאינו יראה גם מעלת עצמו, ובפרט שכנראה במוחש נוגע זה לעבודת השם בכלל ולעבודה בשמחה ובטוב לבב, שזהו עיקר גדול, כמבואר הענין בכ"מ בתורת החסידות.
והדרך המביאה לעבודה בשמחה, הרי מבוארת בספר תניא קדישא באר היטב, ולפלא וואס מ'גיט זיך אזוי נאך טראכטען היפך מקו השמחה וכו' ואין צועקין על העבר, וכוונתי על להבא, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.
ובפרט אשר נכנסנו בחדש כסלו, חדש הנסים והגאולה.

In response to your letter—without indication of when it was written. May it be G‑d's will that from now on you will know no more sorrow or distress, and only good—good that is visible and revealed—will be reported speedily.
And with this, it is obvious and simple as well that, as our Rebbeim have instructed, you should also recognize your own strengths, especially since it is clearly apparent that this affects your service of Hashem in general and specifically your service with joy and gladness of heart. This is a major principle, as explained in many places in Chassidus.
The path that leads to serving with joy is explained thoroughly in the holy Tanya. It is surprising why one would continue to think so much about things contrary to the path of joy, etc. We do not cry out over the past; my intention is for the future. Nothing stands in the way of willpower.
Especially since we have entered the month of Kislev—the month of miracles and redemption.
