Haraha"g iy"a nu"n one who is involved in communal needs with energy etc. Moreinu HaRav Yehuda Leib Rubinstein Glasgow
Shalom u'Vrachah!
Through Haraha"g and Haraha"ch vavac"h iy"a energetic etc. Moreinu HaRav Shlomo Zalman Hecht from Chicago, who visited our camp here, I received regards from your honor, and he also writes how you were received warmly in your community in general and by your honor in particular.
And even though there is no place in such matters for giving thanks—since the reward for a mitzvah is the mitzvah itself—still I wish to express the satisfaction I had from this, knowing that there are brothers in opinion regarding spreading traditional and original Judaism without compromise and in the Baal Shem Tov’s style of spreading the wellsprings outward; that is, even among those who are still on the outside.
Especially since, unfortunately, there are those who object to this—not only from the left but also from the right—and although obviously there is no room for objection since our Sages greatly praised "extracting precious from base," nevertheless since objections exist every encouragement is extremely valuable—especially encouragement accompanied by action.
With G‑d’s help I will fulfill your request through Rabbi Hecht. May it be G‑d’s will that with proper health and a joyful heart you utilize all your talents as above to spread traditional Judaism even outwardly, especially among youth.
And may it be G‑d’s will—as we proceed from the days of Purim—that just as in those days so too now "the Jews had light and gladness and joy and honor" (Esther 8:16), literally (for "no verse departs from its plain meaning")—and together with this as our Sages expound in Torah Sheb'al Peh (the Oral Torah) that "one Torah is ours—Written Torah and Oral Torah; 'light' refers to Torah... until 'honor' refers to tefillin," and all mitzvos are compared to tefillin; one depends on the other: through 'light,' which is Torah, it is assured that there will be literal light etc.
With honor and blessing for good news.
Summary
The Rebbe encourages steadfast outreach to spread uncompromised traditional Judaism in the spirit of the Baal Shem Tov—even among those distant—and stresses that every act of encouragement strengthens this holy work. He connects these efforts to bringing true light and joy as described regarding Purim.
