Mr. Tzvi, may he live.
Shalom u'Vrachah!
I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 27th of Tevet, and I was pleased to read about the improvement in your situation. May it be G‑d's will that things improve even more, until there is complete improvement.
Even in such matters, we can apply our Sages' saying: "You have toiled and you have found" (Megillah 6b), except that in this context, the effort is specifically through distraction from worries and by engaging and reflecting on matters of joy. After all, the Holy One, blessed be He, Creator of the world and Maker of man, is the essence of good, and it is the nature of good to do good.
I hope you are aware that this year marks the 150th yahrzeit of the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya and Shulchan Aruch. As with all matters of remembrance according to our Torah of life (a lesson for life), it is understood that the purpose is for remembrance to awaken and encourage added strength in following his ways as he taught us: "Let us walk in his paths forever and ever" (as stated by the Alter Rebbe in his Iggeres HaKodesh section 27).
With honor and blessing.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that true improvement comes from combining effort with joy and inspiration. The yahrzeit of a tzaddik like the Alter Rebbe should motivate us to strengthen our commitment to his teachings and walk steadfastly in his ways.
