ויהי רצון אשר חפץ ה' בידם יצליח במצוה נעלית האמורה צדקה וגמ"ח, ובפרט בימינו אלה כמבואר באגרת הקדש לרבנו הזקן.
וביחוד שהשנה היא שנת המאה וחמשים להסתלקות רבנו הזקן שהדגיש ביחוד ענין הצדקה, ודרש זה מכל ההולכים בעקבותיו בדורו, ובדורות שלאחריו רבותינו נשיאינו מ"מ כמבואר בשיחות קדושות שלהם וכן המדובר עד"ז בהתועדות דח"י אלול שנה העברה.

I was pleased to receive your letter with its enclosure: a copy of a call to action to raise funds for the Gemilus Chassadim Fund.
May it be G‑d's will that your efforts succeed in this lofty mitzvah of tzedakah and Gemilus Chassadim, especially in our times as explained in Igeres HaKodesh by the Alter Rebbe.
This is particularly significant as this year marks one hundred and fifty years since the passing of the Alter Rebbe, who especially emphasized the matter of tzedakah and demanded it from all who followed in his path in his generation and in subsequent generations—our Rebbeim and Nesi'im—as explained in their holy talks and as discussed at the farbrengen of 18 Elul last year.
