In response to your letter from the 29th of Menachem Av.
Your reasoning is very correct—that you should learn sacred studies all day in yeshivah—and fortunate is your lot that you are able to arrange yourself in this way. It has already been said: 'Ve'atem ha'dvekim ba'Hashem Elokeichem chayim kulchem hayom' (And you who are attached to Hashem your G‑d are all alive today), for the connection of Israel with the Holy One, blessed be He, is through Torah. This is true even literally, as in the end one succeeds with a good arrangement even in matters of this world.
Certainly you know about the three well-known daily study portions in Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya, and you should keep them at least from now on.
