איך בין געווען צופרידן צו באקומען דיין בריף, אין וועלכן דו שרייבסט וועגען די סדרים פון לערנען סיי אין נגלה און סיי אין חסידות. און געוויס ביסזט דו מקיים דעם פסק תורתנו הק' אז מעלין בקודש, און אז מען טוט אין דעם און מען הארעוועט אויף דעם, ווערט מקויים דער פסק, יגעת ומצאת.
און געוויס איז חקוק בא דיר די נקודה, אז דער פארן אין מאנטרעאל איז אויף צו זיין א לעבעדיקער באווייז, ווי א תלמיד פון תומכי תמימים דארף זיין, און דער באווייז דארף זיין ניט נאר אין דער צייט פון לערנען און דאוונען און אפהיטן די סדרים פון דער ישיבה בדיוק, נאר אויך צו דינען אלס סעמפל און לעבעדיקער באווייז ווי מען דאף זיך אויפפירן אין די צווישן-צייט פון לערנען און דאווענען, ווי עס ווערט ערקלערט אין חסידות [...] א עבד ווי ער דינט זיין אדון, אפילו ווען דער אדון איז ניט מער ווי א בשר ודם, ועל אחת כמה וכמה פעמים ככה ווען דער אדון איז דאס מלך מלכי המלכים הקב"ה, אז עס דארף זיין קענטיק די עבדות א גאנצן טאג [אויך] אין אכילה [און] אין שלאף.
און אויף דעם אלעם איז געזאגט געווארן דער פסק רז"ל, יגעת ומצאת, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to receive your letter, in which you write about the study schedules both in Nigleh and in Chassidus. Surely you fulfill our holy Torah's ruling that one must always ascend in holiness, and when one puts effort into this and works hard at it, the ruling "Yagata u'Matzata" (You toiled and you found) is fulfilled.
Surely it is engraved within you that your trip to Montreal is to serve as a living example of how a student of Tomchei Temimim should be. This example should be evident not only during times of learning and davening and in strictly keeping the yeshivah's schedule, but also by serving as a sample and living proof of how one should conduct oneself during the intervals between learning and davening, as explained in Chassidus [...] like a servant who serves his master—even if the master is merely flesh and blood—and all the more so when the master is the King of kings, Hakadosh Baruch Hu; one's service should be recognizable throughout the entire day [also] in eating [and] sleeping.
Regarding all this, our Sages have stated: "Yagata u'Matzata" (You toiled and you found), and there is nothing that stands before true will.
