נדפה בקונ' "צדי"ק למלך" ג ע' 124, מצילום האגרת. ונכתבה במענה לשאלה למה לא נכתבה ב"שמועסן מיט קינדער און יוגנד" הערכה על א' מגדולי ישראל שנפטר.

If one reads our journal with proper attention, they will surely have noticed that, in principle, it only discusses Torah and mitzvos and events of the past, not current events (for which there is enough coverage in daily newspapers). The reasons are clear to anyone who contemplates the current situation—an exception was made only for the article about the passing of the Nasi of Chabad and founder of our journal—the Lubavitcher Rebbe zatzukalelah.
This was published in Kuntres "Tzaddik LaMelech" volume 3 page 124, from a facsimile of the letter. It was written in response to a question as to why an appreciation for one of the greats of Israel who passed away was not written in "Shmuessen Mit Kinder Un Yugend." The article... zatzukalelah: appeared in the Adar 5710 issue.
Summary
The Rebbe writes that their journal intentionally focuses on Torah topics and past events rather than current affairs, except for rare cases like marking the passing of a great leader. This approach is due to careful consideration of contemporary circumstances.
