Shalom u'Vrachah!

I was very happy and my heart rejoiced to hear about the great improvement made in your camp to prevent public desecration of Shabbos and Yom Tov by Jewish boys and girls. Through your efforts and those of your colleagues, the students of the French school have stopped attending school on the holy Shabbos day and on festival days. How great is your reward and that of your colleagues who have merited to bring merit to the many—upon whom the merit of the community depends! Surely you will continue to stand at your post to strengthen the wall of Torah and Judaism, especially proper education.

Certainly you will not be satisfied with influencing Jewish boys and girls merely to turn away from wrongdoing; rather, you will also strive in the area of 'do good'—that is, to fill days of rest and joy with content of holiness and Torah light through Shabbos gatherings and similar activities.

May Hashem grant success in your holy work for the benefit of both community and individual. May you gain additional strength and courage in your work—as our Sages say: "one ascends in matters of holiness"—and may this public service draw down abundant blessings for you and your household also in personal matters for good in visible ways.
