קבלתי מכתבו מז' ניסן וכן המכתב שאחריו. ובשאלתו באיזה מקום יתעסק בעבודתו, הנה כפי שסיפר הרה"ג והרה"ח הרבא"ג שי' היתה אסיפה משותפת מכולם ביחד כשהי' במרוקה, ואז הי' המדובר, שהוא יעבוד באחת העיירות היותר גדולות שאחרי מכנס וקסלבנקה, והיותר נראה הוא מידלעט, כיון ששם מוסדות שלנו היותר מרובים באוכלוסין. ובכלל - נראה הדבר. וכיון אשר משלנו במרוקה הם רק ד' ה' אנשים, ויש שם כר נרחב ביותר לעבודה באופן גדול בחינוך וא"כ, במילא, ג"כ בענין הפצת החסידות דרכי' והנהגותי', והרי כדאי שיתפזרו - עד כמה שאפשר - בעיירות שונות. ובטח, במשך זמן לא ארוך, ימצא כאו"כ מהם עוזרים על אתר לענינים הטפלים לפ"ע. וכיון שהכוונה היא להשפיע לא רק על התלמידים והקטנים אלא גם על הגדולים הבע"ב הרבנים וכו', ובכדי לקרב אותם לא רק לסייע במוסדות אהלי"י אלא גם לעניני חסידות בכלל, אשר זה פועלים יותר ע"י לימוד עניני חסידות הקלים, הסיפורים ע"ד דרכי החסידים וכו' - הנה תקותי ובטחוני, שבמקום שיתיישב הנה יארגן חוג של אברכים ובע"ב - כמובן ברשיון הרבנים והחכמים שלא יהי' בזה כל ענין של פחיתות כבודם ודמותם (מפני כו"כ טעמים) - ובמילא במשך הזמן יעמוד מחוג זה ג"כ עוזרים ומשפיעים ומחנכים.והאריכות אך למותר. ובטח למותר להעירם, אודות יום ל"ג בעומר הבע"ל. וכידוע עד כמה חשוב אצל הספרדים יום הילולא, ובפרט - של הרשב"י בעל הזהר. ובמילא בודאי חגיגתו תשביע רצון כל הנ"ל,.

I received your letter from the 7th of Nissan as well as the subsequent letter. Regarding your question about where you should engage in your work: As Haraha"g vaharaha"ch Harav A.G. said, there was a joint meeting of everyone together when he was in Morocco. At that time it was discussed that you would work in one of the larger towns after Meknes and Casablanca, and it seems most appropriate that it be Midlet, since our institutions there have the largest population. In general—this seems to be the case.
Since there are only four or five of our people in Morocco, and there is a very broad field for extensive work in education and so forth, it follows that there is also much to do regarding spreading Chassidus—its ways and customs—and therefore it is worthwhile for them to disperse as much as possible into different towns. Certainly, within a short time, you will find among them local helpers for secondary matters as needed.
Since the intention is to influence not only students and children but also adults—householders, rabbis, etc.—and to draw them closer not only to help with Oholei Yosef Yitzchak institutions but also to Chassidus in general (which is accomplished more effectively through teaching easier Chassidic concepts and stories about chassidic ways), my hope and confidence is that wherever you settle you will organize a group of Avrechim and householders—with the permission of the rabbis and sages so that their honor and standing are not diminished (for various reasons)—and over time this group will also produce helpers, influencers, and educators. There is no need for further elaboration.
Certainly there is no need to remind them about Lag BaOmer coming up soon. As is known among Sephardim how important a yahrzeit day is—especially that of Rashbi, author of the Zohar—and therefore its celebration will surely satisfy all those mentioned above.
