Shalom u'Vrachah!

Soon Rabbi Shalom Haskind will arrive in Eretz HaKodesh. I would like him to visit all the institutions, camps, and transit camps, etc. I have two intentions: a) that his visit be used to uplift spirits since he is coming from America and speaks English, etc., and also to instill awe where necessary. Therefore it is worthwhile to arrange for him to visit all suitable institutions (not necessarily only ours), as well as the chief rabbis, etc. Certainly appropriate publicity should be arranged in the newspapers—especially considering the attached excerpt.

b) I have received information about a mikvah in Haifa founded by RMM Kuperstock of blessed memory, now under the control of his descendants. For several reasons there are difficulties using it; this depends on influencing the rabbi's sons. If not resolved there is concern for a desecration of the name of Lubavitch. I do not know all details but surely those on site are aware of the situation. If possible they should speak with the rabbi's sons about this matter and try to resolve it as much as possible.

c) I received a request regarding building a mikvah in Ramat Hadar Netzach Yisrael Ramataim; here are the names of those involved [...]. They lack about two hundred lira for completion; this is an area inhabited by observant Jews who will certainly use the mikvah once finished. If all this is true, it is very proper to give them this amount—of course using it in the most appropriate way—and certainly Menachem from Katerinoslav will take responsibility for this; but there is no need to wait—just inform him afterward that it was done as above.

d) I received a request from R' Avraham David Yanovsky that his wife's health requires a more comfortable apartment per doctors' orders; they lack funds for this. It seems to me that Menachem mentioned above should also take responsibility up to one thousand lira if R' Avraham David finds a suitable apartment.

e) I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letters from 17 Iyar and details from meetings on 9th, 25th, 27th of Iyar and 9th Sivan.

f) Surely you are receiving the twelve thousand lira for construction from the Agency. I am interested to know how these funds are being used.

g) What is the outcome regarding the Shevi'is project?

h) Rabbi Goldman proposed establishing a school in Prozdor Yerotv"u. What has been done about this?
