בנועם קבלתי מכתב כת"ר מיום ט"ז בתמוז בצירוף התרומה מהאשה רות געשי שתחי' לישיבת תומכי תמימים ליובאוויטש אשר בלוד, באה"ק ת"ו.
למותר להאריך לדכוותי' בגודל זכות המעשה, ובפרט בעת הצורך הזאת אשר לולא חסרון אמצעי כסף כמה אפשר הי' להרחיב פעולות הפצת התורה וחיזוק היהדות על טהרת הקדש. ויישר כוחו וחילו לעשות כהנה וכהנה.
מוסג"פ מכתב אישור וברכה להאשה הנדיבה הנ"ל שתחי', ובודאי אם ימצא כת"ר לנכון להוסיף ביאור על הכתוב בטח ימצא גם האותיות המתאימות לזה...

ולקשר עובדא טבא הנ"ל עם ענינא דיומא דבין המצרים, הנה אמרו רז"ל לא חרבה ירושלים אלא בשביל שבטלו בה תנוקות של בית רבן (שבת קיט, ב). והרי החיוב דזכרון המאורעות והימים האלו בודאי כוונתו הוא התיקון על ידי שלילת הסבות שהביאו להחורבן - חיזוק החנוך על טהרת הקדש, ובפרט בארצנו הקדושה ת"ו, היושבת וראשה חפוי כאשה עקרה שלא ילדה כו', להרבות ולהוסיף שם תשב"ר וגדיים נעשים תיישים תלמידי ישיבות כהנה וכהנה נחמה בכפליים, עדי יקויים היעוד הקטון יהי' לאלף והצעיר לגוי גדול.

With pleasure I received your letter from the 16th of Tammuz together with the donation from Mrs. Ruth Geashi for Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch in Lod, Eretz HaKodesh may it be rebuilt and established. There is no need to elaborate to you on the great merit of this deed, especially at this time of need when, were it not for lack of financial means, so much more could be done to expand activities in spreading Torah and strengthening Judaism in purity and holiness. May your strength and vigor be blessed to continue doing likewise and more.
Enclosed is a letter of acknowledgment and blessing for the above-mentioned generous woman; certainly if you find it appropriate to add explanation about what is written you will also find the suitable words for this...
P.S. To connect this good deed with the theme of these days—the Three Weeks—our Sages said: "Jerusalem was destroyed only because they stopped the children from learning Torah" (Shabbos 119b). The obligation to remember these events and days is surely intended as a correction by removing the causes that led to destruction—strengthening education in purity and holiness. Especially in our Holy Land may it be rebuilt and established, which sits with its head bowed like a barren woman who has not given birth; we must increase there children learning Torah so that kids become mature students in yeshivos—this brings double comfort until the prophecy is fulfilled: "The small one will become a thousand and the young a mighty nation."
