Shalom u'Vrachah!
It was with pleasure that I received the news about your entering into the yoke of mitzvos. I am sending you my heartfelt blessings that you should accept upon yourselves the yoke of Torah and its mitzvos with joy and a good heart.
Although this is a matter of accepting a yoke—and a complete acceptance of the yoke, just as it was when our entire people, Bnei Yisrael, accepted the yoke of Torah and mitzvos at the event of Mount Sinai when they declared 'Naaseh v'Nishma' ("We will do and we will hear")—nevertheless, it is a pleasant yoke. For there is nothing good except for Torah and its mitzvos, as it is said: 'Ki Lekach Tov Nasati Lachem Torati Al Taazovu' ("For I have given you a good acquisition; do not forsake My Torah"). And learning Torah leads to fulfilling mitzvos in daily life.
In accordance with what is stated: 'Im Bechukosai Teileichu v'es Mitzvosai Tishmeru... V'nasati...' ("If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments... then I will give..."), as all the blessings enumerated in the parsha—may it be His will that you conduct yourselves accordingly as required, and may Hashem fulfill His promise that you be blessed with everything needed both materially and spiritually.
With blessings for success in Torah study and fulfillment of its mitzvos.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that accepting Torah and mitzvos should be done with joy, for although it is called a "yoke," it brings true goodness. Through joyful commitment to learning and observance, one merits both material and spiritual blessings.
