Shalom u'Vrachah!

It was with pleasure that I received your letter from Tuesday—the day which is doubly good—along with a summary report of your holy activities over the year and notice about the annual gathering on Motzaei Shabbat Mevarchim Chodesh Adar, may it come upon us for good.

May it be G‑d's will that the meeting succeed in increasing your activities and in adding to them with tranquility, joy, and gladness of heart. After all, Gmilus Chassadim applies even to the wealthy and so forth.

This is especially so according to what is understood from chapter eleven of the series of maamarim for the hilulah of my father-in-law, the Rebbe—Nasi Yisrael—that in the generation preceding Moshiach's arrival (Ikvesa d'Meshicha), "all the treasures of precious wealth gathered over many years from generation to generation are distributed through appointed agents—for those outside," as explained elsewhere. From spirituality this descends into physicality; thus these mentioned treasures will also manifest as literal treasures—may it be speedily in our days with the coming of Moshiach Tzidkeinu (through utilizing spiritual treasures as explained in that series). Then will be fully realized both the warning and promise: Efes ki lo yihiyeh vecha evyon ("There shall be no needy among you"), since Israel does G‑d's will (see Rashi [from Sifri] Devarim 15:4; Sanhedrin 94b; Raya Mehemna Zohar III 125a; Avodas HaKodesh II ch.38).
