נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מי"ג טבת נוסף על הידיעות שקבלתי מאנ"ש שי' וקורת רוח מהפ"ש אשר מסר, ות"ח על זה.
לכתבו אודות עניני הרה"ר שבאה"ק ת"ו.
מכבר כתבתי בזה להרה"ג הוו"ח אי"א צנמ"ס הרש"י שי' זוין מגודל הצער מהסתבכות הענינים וכו' וכדי בזיון וכו'. וענני שכבר פרסם דעתי בזה בכל אותן שלש הנקודות אודותן דובר בעת ביקורו של כת"ר כאן.
ובטח ידוע גם לכ' פירוש תורת החסידות בענין מצרים ויציאת מצרים, אשר גם בקדושה ישנם מצרים וגבולים, והחיוב לראות את עצמו כאילו הוא יצא ממצרים, וכהדגשת רבנו הזקן בתניא ריש פרק מ"ז, בכל יום ויום הוא גם בהנוגע למצרים אלו, אלא שעוד הוספה בזה, שאפילו קודם היציאה צ"ל ויחי, ולא עוד אלא שאפשר שיהי' זה מבחר שנותיו ופעולות האדם, כמצורף תורת רבנו הזקן בזה.

I was pleased to receive your letter from the 13th of Teves, in addition to the information I received from Anash and the satisfaction from the report you delivered; thank you for this.
You wrote regarding matters of the Chief Rabbinate in Eretz HaKodesh. I have already written about this to Haraha"g havavac"h iy"a tznm"s haRash"y sh' Zwin about the great distress caused by the complications in these matters, etc., and how disgraceful it is, etc. He answered me that he has already publicized my opinion on all three points discussed during your visit here. Surely you also know the Chassidic interpretation regarding Mitzrayim and the Exodus from Mitzrayim: that even in holiness there are boundaries and limitations (Mitzrayim), and one is obligated to see himself as if he left Mitzrayim. As emphasized by Rabbeinu HaZaken in Tanya, beginning of chapter 47, every single day this applies also to these types of Mitzrayims. There is an additional point: even before leaving, there must be 'vayechi' (life), and not only that, but this can be among a person's best years and accomplishments, as explained by Rabbeinu HaZaken on this topic.
Thank you for sending the books you mention at the end of your letter; surely you will continue with such matters in the future as well.
Regarding your father, the Rav shlita—I am sure he has already received my letter some time ago.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that spiritual growth requires recognizing personal limitations (Mitzrayim) even within holiness and striving daily for personal redemption. Even before overcoming these boundaries, one can experience vitality and accomplishment through Torah study and mitzvos.
