... And regarding your writing about the study schedule between Mincha and Maariv: although the one who says that this is an auspicious time for learning in a group of ten the inner dimension of Torah—namely, the Aggadah in the book Ein Yaakov, in which most secrets of the Torah are hidden and which atones for a person's sins (Iggeres HaKodesh sec. 23)—is correct, this does not exclude adding other studies. In a year of mourning, studying Mishnayos (whose letters spell neshamah) is relevant and comes after every prayer—and Mincha is certainly included.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that while learning Ein Yaakov between Mincha and Maariv is especially fitting, it is also appropriate to add other studies such as Mishnayos during a year of mourning after every prayer—including Mincha.
