Shalom u'Vrachah!

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 21st of Iyar. At an auspicious time, I will mention the matters you wrote about at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory, in whose name the network and all its activities are called. Certainly, this will further arouse mercy from Above so that everything will be successful in every detail.

My strong hope is that although you are within twelve months of mourning for your father and father-in-law, you will nevertheless continue your work with peace of mind, a good heart, and strong trust that the desire of Hashem in your hands will succeed—to spread Judaism and its matters and, at its core, education according to our holy Torah [and so too for your wife—regarding her matters].

Moreover, since serving Hashem must not only be with a good heart but also with joy, it follows that there can be no contradiction here. Joy breaks through all boundaries; my intention is that although planning and estimation are necessary beforehand—as is written many times—once one has entered deeply into the matter and acts with dedication and orderliness, success and additional blessing are bestowed from Above. The overall outcome will be good—far exceeding what was estimated beforehand—both in spiritual matters and material ones; especially since in this context even the material is spiritual.

Enclosed are two general letters from recent weeks which you will surely utilize for your purposes.

Blessings for good news in all the above and to receive the Torah with joy and inwardness.

The Rebbe teaches that even during difficult periods such as mourning, one should continue spreading Judaism with inner peace and joy. True service of Hashem requires happiness, which brings greater success than anticipated—both spiritually and materially.
