Shalom u'Vrachah!
To increase peace, to unite and bring hearts closer to one another, and to strengthen trust—which certainly is only as it is written: "For Hashem your G‑d is testing you." And when one recognizes that it is only a test—it becomes completely nullified—and the inner meaning of the above is revealed: "He (and He elevates) Hashem your G‑d is testing you," above all concealments and obscurations to the extent of knowing (and connecting with a very strong and powerful bond) a face-to-face revelation (see Likkutei Torah Parshas Re'eh 19b and onward), and the goodness from above becomes visible and revealed below as well—the good for us—together with awe and love, our collective joy.
This was printed in Likkutei Sichos Vol. 9 p. 286, and it is the answer of the Lubavitcher Rebbe shlita to the general request from Kfar Chabad regarding the events occurring there.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that by fostering peace, unity, and trust in G‑d—especially during trying times—we can reveal hidden goodness and transform challenges into visible blessings for all.
