מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבם מכ"ה אלול, יום עליו נאמר בראשית ברא אלקים וגו', בראשית אותיות, תרי שבת (עיין תקו"ז ריש תקון מח'),
בו כותבים אודות ענין שמירת שבת, אשר לכן החליטו לקנות מכונה וכו' הקשורה בכמה הוצאות.
והנה אף כי אין קופה מיוחדת לענינים כגון אלו, ובכלל מצב הקופות שעמוסות הוצאות ע"ג הוצאות,
בכ"ז ע"פ מ"ש חבר אני לכל אשר יראוך, מצורפת בזה המחאה פרטית השתתפות סמלית בענין האמור.
ויהי רצון אשר תרי שבת ישמרו ישראל ומיד הן נגאלין על ידי משיח צדקנו בגאולה האמיתית והשלימה.

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 25th of Elul, a day about which it is said: 'Bereishit bara Elokim...' (In the beginning G‑d created...), and 'Bereishit' is an acronym for 'two Shabbatot' (see Tikunei Zohar at the beginning of Tikkun 48), in which you write about the matter of Shabbat observance, for which you have decided to purchase a machine, etc., which involves many expenses.
And although there is no special fund for such matters, and in general the funds are burdened with expenses upon expenses, nevertheless, as it is written: 'I am a companion to all who fear You,' I am enclosing herewith a private check as a symbolic participation in the aforementioned matter.
And may it be G‑d's will that if Israel observes two Shabbatot they will immediately be redeemed by our righteous Moshiach with the true and complete redemption.
