ויהי רצון שיגבירו חיילים להגדיל תורה ולהאדירה תורת הנגלה ופנימיות התורה אשר יחדיו יהלכו, שהרי התורה תורה תמימה היא, אשר בדורתנו נתגלתה בתורת החסידות.
והרי מבואר בכ"מ גודל הכרח לימוד זה המביא לידי אהבת השם ויראת השם וגם בתור הכנה ללימוד התורה בכלל, וש"ס ערוך הוא (פסחים נ, ב) גדול מעל שמים, בעושין לשמה דוקא, והעוסק לשמה הוא מפני אהבת אדון כל הארץ (רמב"ם סוף הלכות תשובה, עיי"ש).
והרי ידוע גם הנהגת החת"ס בזה להקדים ללימוד התורה דבר אגדה להאריך בתפלתו, והרי התפלה באה קודם הלימוד דוקא, וכבקשת אבא בנימין (ברכות ה' ע"ב) [ובקושית התוס' שם עיין בלקו"ת לרבנו הזקן דברים צו, ב].

With thanks I acknowledge receipt of the books published by you that were sent here.
May it be G‑d's will that you increase your efforts to strengthen and expand Torah—both the revealed dimension and the inner teachings of Torah—which go hand in hand, for Torah is a complete Torah. In our generation, this completeness has been revealed through the teachings of Chassidus.
It is explained in many places how essential this study is, as it leads to love and awe of Hashem and also serves as preparation for all Torah study. The Shas (Pesachim 50b) states that greatness surpasses even the heavens when one acts purely for its own sake; one who studies for its own sake does so out of love for the Master of all (see Rambam at the end of Hilchos Teshuvah).
It is also well known that the Chasam Sofer would precede his Torah study with words of Aggadah to lengthen his prayers. Prayer comes specifically before learning, as requested by Abba Binyamin (Berachos 5b); see Tosafos there and Likkutei Torah by Rabbeinu HaZaken on Devarim Tzav 2.
Summary
