ויהי רצון שתהא שנת הצלחה אצלו בעבודתו בקדש הוא ביסוס והתפתחות ישיבת תומכי תמימים ליובאוויטש אשר באירופא, שהשגחה העליונה העמידתו על חלק היפה לנהל אותה, ויקוים בעבודה זו כלשון הכתוב פדה בשלום, שכל הענינים יעשו בדרכי שלום שהוא כלי המחזיק ברכתו של הקב"ה וברבים היו עמדי, שאפילו הענינים המעלימים ומסתירים, לא לבד שאין מעלימים ומסתירים, אלא עוד שהם עמדי, ומסייעים, ועיכ"ז מובן ופשוט שיתוסף בעניניו הפרטים שלו ושל ב"ב שי' וגם הם באופן הנ"ל דבשלום וברבים היו עמדי, שהרי הא בהא תליא, ובפרט בענינים הקשורים ברבותינו נשיאינו, אף שכל הנ"ל צריכים אתעדל"ת וכמבואר בלקו"ת שבוע זה, שואתחנן אל ה' וגו' ואראה את הארץ הטובה, ולא פעל כ"א ועתה ישראל שמע וגו' הרי הועילה תפלתו עכ"פ במקצת, שלא לבד בעניני תורה - לחם מן השמים, משפיעים מלמעלה באתעדל"ע, אלא שגם בענינים השייכים לתפלה ג"כ מעוררים מלמעלה בתוספת התעוררות, והרי פנימיות התורה ובפרט תורת החסידות ה"ז הממוצע והמאחד (וככל מאחד ה"ה למעלה משני הענינים הנאחדים) תורה ותפלה.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
May it be G‑d's will that this year be one of success for you in your holy work—establishing and developing the Tomchei Temimim Yeshiva of Lubavitch in Europe. Divine Providence has placed you in the fortunate position to lead it. May it be fulfilled in this work as the verse says: Pedeh v'Shalom ("He redeemed in peace")—that all matters should be accomplished peacefully, for peace is the vessel that holds the blessing of the Holy One, blessed be He. "And many were with me," meaning that even those things which seem to conceal or obscure not only do not conceal or obscure but actually join with me and assist. Nevertheless, it is understood and obvious that there should also be an increase in your personal matters and those of your family, also conducted as above—with peace and "many were with me," since one depends on the other. This is especially true regarding matters connected to our Rebbeim and leaders.
All of the above requires an awakening from below (hisorerus d'letata), as explained in Likkutei Torah for this week: "Va'eschanan el Hashem... va'ereh es ha'aretz hatovah" ("I pleaded to Hashem... let me see the good land")—and Moshe did not accomplish except... "Ve'atah Yisrael shema..." ("And now Israel, listen..."). Still, his prayer was effective at least partially—not only regarding Torah matters (bread from heaven), which are bestowed from Above through an awakening from Above (hisorerus d'le'eila), but even regarding matters related to prayer there is also a greater arousal from Above. The inner dimension of Torah—and especially Chassidus—is the intermediary and unifier (and like any unifier it is higher than both things being unified) between Torah and prayer.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that leading with peace brings G‑d's blessings and transforms challenges into support. Personal growth and communal leadership are intertwined, especially when guided by Torah and chassidus.
