Shalom u'Vrachah!

At an auspicious time, you will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, for what you need and for the fulfillment of all your heart's desires in those matters about which you write.

Regarding what you wrote about thoughts that disturb your concentration during study: it is known that one of the remedies for this is to learn from inside a book. Even when contemplating or reasoning mentally, keep the book or pamphlet open before you on that topic; similarly regarding prayer.

As for your thoughts about purpose: it is well known that the wording of the blessing 'HaZan' (He Who nourishes) is from the Torah: 'HaZan et ha'olam kulo b'tuvo b'chen u'vchesed u'vrachamim' (He nourishes the entire world with His goodness, with grace, kindness, and mercy), from which it is understood that by increasing diligence and persistence in Torah study and performing mitzvos with extra care, blessings from Hashem are increased in general—including also a good arrangement when the time comes. As Scripture explicitly states: 'Im Bechukosai Teileichu' (If you follow My statutes) (and Rashi explains from Sifra: that you should labor in Torah—specifically labor), 'and keep My commandments... I will give...'—all the blessings stated in the portion.

You surely know about the three well-known daily study cycles of Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya; at least keep to them from now on.

Blessings for good news.

Summary
