Shalom u'Vrachah!

In your letter you ask for an explanation regarding the mikveh from which you are involved in activities to strengthen Judaism and its dissemination, especially spreading the wellsprings. It is not clear what explanation is needed, since you live in the holy city of Jerusalem, which has an added level of holiness. From this it is understood that there must also be an increase in personal sanctity, since the awakening from below must correspond to the awakening from above. The increase in holiness comes through matters of Torah and mitzvah and their inner dimension, which is the concept of the wellsprings. This also relates to 'Love your fellow as yourself,' meaning not only having a good eye toward one's own matters but also toward those of others. In many areas this work of dissemination is essential, and certainly each individual has an obligation in this regard. From this it is understood that everyone has the ability to do so; it depends only on one's will. This should suffice.

With blessing for good news in all the above.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that living in Jerusalem brings a higher expectation for personal growth and outreach. Every individual has both the responsibility and ability to spread Torah, mitzvot, and their inner teachings—especially by caring for others as oneself.
