Now that we have entered the month of Ziv (Iyar), in which each day has its own unique mitzvah—the mitzvah of counting the Omer—and since the verse states, “For a mitzvah is a lamp,” to illuminate the darkness of the world, you should increase the light of Torah and mitzvot over the world’s darkness. This will bring the true and complete redemption speedily in our days, until the night will shine as the day.
