במענה על מכתבו מט"ו שבט, בו כותב שאין לו קישור ללימודו כי המחשבות מבלבלות אותו.
הנה ידוע אשר לכל אחד מישראל יש לו אות בתורה וכל עניני בן בת ישראל נמשכים על ידי התורה, שלכן אי אפשר שלא יהי' לו קישור לתורה תורת חיים אלא שהיצר הרע מלך זקן וכסיל מעלים ומסתיר על האמת, והעצה היא לזה מה שארז"ל אם פגע בך מנוול זה משכהו לבית המדרש, וכשיתייגע בלימודו בהתמדה ושקידה יצליחו השי"ת ובטח יהי' לימודו בטהרה ע"י עבודת התפלה ומקוה טהרה ולימוד נשמתא דאורייתא פנימיות התורה תורת החסידות.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the 15th of Shevat, in which you write that you feel no connection to your studies because distracting thoughts confuse you.
It is well known that every Jew has a letter in the Torah and all matters of a Jewish man or woman are drawn through the Torah. Therefore, it is impossible not to have a connection to the Torah of life; it is only that the yetzer hara—the old and foolish king—conceals and hides the truth. The advice for this is what our Sages said: "If this despicable one confronts you, drag him to the beit midrash." When you exert yourself in your studies with diligence and persistence, Hashem will grant you success. Certainly your learning will be in purity through prayerful service, immersion in a mikveh for purity, and studying the soul of the Torah—the inner dimension of Torah, namely Chassidus.

The Rebbe teaches that despite inner obstacles or confusion, every Jew inherently connects to Torah. Through persistent study, prayerful preparation, and learning Chassidus, one can overcome distractions and reveal their essential bond with Torah.
