Shalom u'Vrachah!
When I am at the Tziyun of my father-in-law, the holy Admor zatzukal lehavdil bein chayim lechayim zichrono tzaddik livrachah, I will read your pidyon nefesh and I hope that he—my father-in-law—will arouse great mercy so that your health will begin to improve and continue to get better and better.
You surely know that to receive a blessing from Hashem Yisbarach one must have vessels. Therefore, I want to suggest that you be especially careful to put on tefillin every day (except Shabbos and Yom Tov). The tefillin shel yad, which is placed opposite the heart, brings health to the heart; and the tefillin shel rosh, which is placed opposite the brain—the brain directs the entire body through the nerves—brings health to the whole body. Also, say a few chapters of Tehillim every day and give a certain amount to tzedakah daily, bli neder until this coming Pesach. Of course it is good to give tzedakah even after that, but at least until Pesach you should be careful to do this.
I hope to hear good news from you—that your health is improving and that the doctors are satisfied with your condition.
With blessings for a speedy recovery.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that spiritual practices such as daily tefillin, Tehillim, and tzedakah serve as vessels for G‑d's blessings of healing and strength. Consistency in these mitzvos helps draw down both physical and spiritual well-being.
