I was pleased to read in your letter that when an unfit Chazan was engaged in your community, you therefore prayed at home by yourself. This is always the correct approach, because when the shaliach tzibbur is not as he should be, not only does he not accomplish anything, but he even brings harm. Therefore, it is better to pray alone in such a case.
You will surely see to it that the subsidy designated for our chinuch work in Morocco will be transferred to us by sending it here. If this is absolutely impossible, then it should be sent to our office in Paris, because now every penny can accomplish a great deal in the area of proper chinuch.
