היום קבלתי מכתבו מט"ו סיון עם הפ"נ המוסגר בו, ואקראהו אי"ה בהיותי על ציון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.
שמחתי לקרוא במכ' אשר נסתדר בדירת חותנו הרה"ח וכו' שי'. ויה"ר אשר השי"ת ינחנו בדרך הנכונה וימציא לו ההסתדרות המתאימה לפניו בגו"ר, וימצא פרנסתו באופן שיוכל לקבוע עתים לתורה בנגלה ודא"ח בשופי. וזכות הגדול שבא בחלקו להאיר את העולם כולו ע"י הדפסת ספרי נשיאינו נשיאי חב"ד, יעמוד לו ולכל ב"ב שי' לחיים ולשלום בגו"ר, חיים מלאים כל טוב ואור של נר מצוה ותורה אור ומאור שבתורה, ואקוה שיוכל לבשרני בשו"ט בזה וכן מבריאות הנכונה של כב"ב שי'.
בברכת הסתדרות המתאימה בגו"ר בקרוב ממש.

בטח זוכר מה שכתבתי אליו בעוד היותו באשכנז, שיסדר את החשבון, בכדי לברר מה שמגיע לו בקשר עם ענין ההדפסה, שכפי המסופר לי הנה השקיע בזה הן ממון והן טרחה וכו' וכו'. ובמילא מסופקני ג"כ אם לקח לו שכר טרחה, ובטח יסדר את כל החשבונות כדבעי למהוי, ויודיע המעשה כמו שהי' מבלי להעלים את ההוצאות שהיו בפועל, כן בטח לקח עמדו ע"ח הנ"ל ספרים ממה שהו"ל על ידו, אשר תהי' בזה תועלת נוספת, שעי"ז יהיו הספרים באה"ק ת"ו.

Today I received your letter from the 15th of Sivan with the enclosed pan (pidyon nefesh), and I will read it G‑d willing when I am at the resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal (may the memory of the righteous and holy be a blessing for life in the World to Come). I was happy to read in your letter that you have settled into the home of your father-in-law, Haraha"ch etc. May it be G‑d's will that He guide you on the right path and provide you with suitable stability soon in a revealed and good way, and that you find your livelihood in a manner that allows you to set fixed times for Torah study—both Nigleh (revealed Torah) and Chassidus—in abundance.
The great merit that has come to you—to illuminate the entire world through printing the books of our Nesi'im, the leaders of Chabad—will stand by you and all your family for life and peace soon in a revealed way: lives filled with all goodness and light from "Ner Mitzvah v'Torah Or" (the candle is a mitzvah and Torah is light) and from the illumination within Torah. I hope you will be able to share good news about this as well as about the proper health of your entire family.

You surely remember what I wrote to you while you were still in Ashkenaz: that you should arrange an accounting to clarify what is due to you regarding the matter of printing. As I was told, you invested both money and effort into this matter. Therefore, I also wonder whether you took any compensation for your efforts. Surely you will arrange all accounts properly as they should be, and inform me of what was done as it happened—without concealing any actual expenses. Certainly, you also took books on account from those published through your efforts; this will bring additional benefit by making these books available in Eretz HaKodesh (the Holy Land).
