In response to your prompt letter (without indication of when it was written), I greatly enjoyed hearing about your good activities in the places you visited as detailed in your letter. Certainly, in addition to what is openly accomplished during your visit to a city or town, there are matters that occur without your knowledge at present, and many results and fruits will come from the seeds planted during the actual visit. Holiness produces fruits and fruits of its fruits until the end of all concealment and hiddenness (to borrow from L'shon HaHelem VeHaHester), as my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m said at the end of section one of the Yud-Beis Tammuz talk: "Kedushah is without end."

Certainly you are also accomplishing and effecting in your travels regarding material matters; besides this being part of your mission, it is well known and evident that anything with a tangible physical aspect is lasting. It is also known that this is one of the reasons why prophets would sometimes precede their prophecy with some physical action, as mentioned in various places in Nevi'im Acharonim.

It is surprising that among the classes you mention seeing in the synagogue, there are few practical halachah study sessions on regular laws.

Regarding your question—since my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m wrote to you "not to get involved in this," this is certainly the correct path.

As for your question whether to begin now visiting towns along the way here and to spend Tishrei here and around NY—in my opinion, it is very necessary specifically now to use the end of Elul and Tishrei to strengthen your standing and situation in our camp and its surroundings. These times are periods of awakening here as well (according to local custom), days of outreach, days of gatherings, etc. It would be best if you prepare a detailed program ahead of time on how to utilize all these days most effectively and appropriately.

Regarding your earlier question about establishing a synagogue Nusach Ari in our camp—even though in essence it is correct, because of your role and work you should not and cannot be tied to one synagogue; your net must be spread over the whole city and its surroundings. I am searching for a suitable person to send to our camp who will serve as rabbi and teach classes etc. in that synagogue—and naturally also help establish it. You will stand above him. But for now I have not found such a person. I will continue searching.
