In response to your letter from the 22nd of Nissan and your postcard from the 27th of Nissan and your letter from the 8th of Iyar:

a) We share in your joy regarding the acquisition of the building for the yeshiva and send you our heartfelt blessings.

b) We were pleased to read in your letter about the good activities that have been accomplished with G‑d's help in your community in general, and especially about the increase of students at the yeshiva, the positive impression from the public gathering, and the founding of "Shabbos gatherings" for boys and girls.

c) It is very good that you have already begun discussing the founding of "Beis Rivkah," and let us hope that this good intention will soon be realized with G‑d's help as quickly as possible.

d) Regarding how to conduct Shabbos gatherings, you can find information in the album we sent you, in the report about Shabbos gatherings that was sent to you previously, and in the instructions for counselors which we sent you. If you have specific questions, please write to us about them.

e) We instructed that you be sent the printed materials in the quantity you requested.

f) We were happy to hear that Reb R. Y. Weinberg was able with G‑d's help to establish "Mezihrei Shabbos." We also read what was written in the newspaper about his activities. Certainly he will keep us updated regularly on all that is accomplished through "Mezihrei Shabbos."

g) We enjoyed hearing your report about the activities of Aharon Klein, Natan Paleg, and Eliezer Silver.

h) The tickets to visit "Shabbos gatherings" which you printed and sent us as a sample are indeed pleasing to us; however, we do not understand how they can be used on Shabbos. Even if those distributing them announce at distribution that they should not be brought on Shabbos, forgetfulness is common even among distributors. Those who receive these tickets may—just as is usual with entry tickets—bring them on Shabbos. Besides all this, there is also concern for appearances: those who see these tickets but do not know all the explanations for these issues may misunderstand.

i) Glushtein gave eleven dollars and fifty cents for the Sefer Torah.

j) Regarding "Sichos" (talks) published back in Riga and Warsaw: please let us know which ones you mean so it will be easier for us to clarify whether they can be obtained.

k) Reb Eliyahu Nachum Barenholtz, a bookseller in Toronto, wrote among other things that it would be worthwhile for someone from there to come for some time to strengthen family purity matters; perhaps you can look into this matter...
