איך בין געווען צופרידן צו לייענען אייער בריף פון ד' תבא, אין וועלכען איר שרייבט אז אייער מאן שי' פילט זיך בעסער אין געזונט, און אייער זון ... שי' האט ארויסגעהאלפען אין געשעפט, און איך האף אז איר וועט קענען אנזאגען מיר בשורוות טובות פון אייך און פון אלע אייערע.
עס האט מיך געפרייט צו לייענען אין אייער בריף אז איר האט ארג[א]ניזירט א חברה קדישא פון פרויען, וואס מען קען גאר ניט משער זיין דעם גרויסען זכות פון דעם חסד של אמת, און מיר זאל[ן] אלע זוכה זיין אין גיכען צו תחיית המתים ובלע המות לנצח, און עס זאל מקויים ווערען דער ואתם הדבקים בה' אלקיכם חיים כולכם היום, פשוט אין גשמיות.
ולקראת השנה החדשה הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה, הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לבעלה ולה ולב"ב שיחיו, ברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to read your letter from the 4th of Tavo, in which you write that your husband shiyichye feels better in health, and your son ... shiyichye helped out in business. I hope you will be able to share with me good news about yourself and all yours.
It made me happy to read in your letter that you organized a women's Chevra Kadisha, as one cannot estimate the great merit of this Chesed Shel Emes (true kindness). May we all merit soon the resurrection of the dead and "u'Bila HaMavet LaNetzach" (and death will be swallowed up forever), and may it be fulfilled: "VeAtem HaDevakim BaHashem Elokeichem Chayim Kulchem HaYom" (and you who cling to Hashem your G‑d are all alive today), simply in physicality.
As we approach the new year that is coming upon us and all Israel for good and blessing, I hereby express my blessing to her husband, to her, and to her household shiyichyu: a blessing for being inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year in both material and spiritual matters together.
