המצווה הרפ"ט
האזהרה שהזהרנו מלרצוח זה את זה.
והוא אמרו: "לא תרצח" (שמות כ, יג; דברים ה, יז).
והעובר על לאו זה - נהרג בהכאה מן הצואר.
אמר יתעלה: "מעם מזבחי תקחנו למות" (שמות כא, יד).

The 289th Mitzvah
1. The prohibition by which we were warned against murdering one another.
2. This is His statement: "לא תרצח" ("You shall not murder," Shemos 20:13; Devarim 5:17).
3. One who transgresses this prohibition is executed by a blow to the neck (i.e., by the sword).
4. He, may He be exalted, said: "מעם מזבחי תקחנו למות" ("From My very altar you shall take him to die," Shemos 21:14).
