Listing of days Tachanun is not said
The L‑rd spoke to Moshe, saying: Command the children of Israel and say to them: My offering, My food for My fire-offerings, a pleasing odor to Me, you shall be careful to offer to Me at its appointed time. And you shall say to them: This is the fire-offering which you shall bring to the L‑rd: two yearling lambs without blemish, every day, as a daily burnt-offering. One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer in the afternoon; and a tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a meal-offering, mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil of crushed olives. It is a daily burnt-offering, as was offered at Mount Sinai, for a pleasing odor, a fire-offering to the L‑rd. And its libation shall be a quarter of a hin for the one lamb; in the Sanctuary you shall pour a libation of strong wine to the L‑rd. And the other lamb you shall offer in the afternoon; like the meal-offering of the morning and like its libation you shall offer it, a fire-offering of pleasing odor to the L‑rd.
He shall slaughter it on the north side of the altar before the L‑rd, and the sons of Aharon, the Kohanim, shall sprinkle its blood all around upon the altar.
You are the L‑rd our G‑d and G‑d of our fathers, before whom our fathers burned the offering of incense when the Beis Hamikdash stood, as You commanded them through Moshe Your prophet, as it is written in Your Torah:
The L‑rd said to Moses: Take for yourself spices: balsam, onycha and galbanum, spices and pure frankincense, each of equal weight. And make it into incense, a compound expertly blended, well mingled, pure and holy. Grind some of it very fine, and place some of it before the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting, where I will meet with you; it shall be most holy to you. And it is said: Aaron shall burn upon it the incense of spices; every morning when he sets the lamps in order, he shall burn it. And toward evening, when Aaron kindles the lamps, he shall burn it, a continual incense before the L‑rd throughout your generations.
The Rabbis taught: How was the incense prepared? It weighed three hundred and sixty-eight manehs: three hundred and sixty-five corresponding to the number of days in the solar year, a maneh for each day, half to be offered in the morning and half in the afternoon; and three additional manehs, from which the Kohen Gadol took two handfuls on Yom Kippur. These were put back into the mortar on the day before Yom Kippur and ground again very thoroughly so as to make it exceptionally fine.
The incense contained eleven kinds of spices, and these are they: (1) balsam, (2) onycha, (3) galbanum, (4) frankincense, each of the weight of seventy manehs; (5) myrrh, (6) cassia, (7) spikenard, (8) saffron, each sixteen manehs by weight; (9) costus, twelve manehs; (10) aromatic bark, three; (11) cinnamon, nine. Also, Carshina lye, nine kabs; Cyprus wine, three se'ahs and three kabs; if Cyprus wine was not available, old white wine was used. Sodom salt, a quarter of a kab; and a minute quantity of a smoke-raising herb.
Rabbi Nassan the Babylonian says: Also a minute quantity of Jordan amber. If one put honey into it, he rendered it unfit; and if he omitted any one of its spices, he is liable to the penalty of death.
Rabban Shimon ben Gamliel says: The balsam is a resin that drips from the balsam trees. The Carshina lye was used for rubbing on the onycha to make it beautiful; the Cyprus wine was used in which to steep the onycha to make it pungent. Though urine is suitable for that purpose, it is not brought into the Beis Hamikdash out of respect.
It has been taught: Rabbi Nassan says: While the Kohen was grinding the incense, the overseer would say, “Grind it thoroughly, thoroughly grind it,” because the sound is beneficial for the spices. If it was compounded in half the quantity, it was fit for use; but as to a third or a quarter, we have not heard. Rabbi Yehudah said: This is the general rule: if it was made in its correct proportions, it is fit for use even in half the quantity; but if one omitted any one of its ingredients, he is liable to the penalty of death.
It has been taught: Bar Kappara says: Once in sixty or seventy years, the accumulated surpluses amounted to half the yearly quantity.
Bar Kappara also taught: Had a kortov of honey been added to it, no one could have withstood its scent. Why then was no honey mixed with it? Because the Torah said: No leaven nor any honey shall you burn from it as a fire-offering to the L‑rd.
The L‑rd of hosts is with us; the G‑d of Jacob is our everlasting stronghold, Selah. The L‑rd of hosts is with us; the G‑d of Jacob is our everlasting stronghold, Selah. The L‑rd of hosts is with us; the G‑d of Jacob is our everlasting stronghold, Selah. L‑rd of hosts, happy is the man who trusts in You. L‑rd of hosts, happy is the man who trusts in You. L‑rd of hosts, happy is the man who trusts in You. L‑rd, help us; may the King answer us on the day we call. L‑rd, help us; may the King answer us on the day we call. L‑rd, help us; may the King answer us on the day we call. Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the L‑rd as in the days of old and as in former years.
We implore You, by the great power of Your right hand, release the captive. (Aleph-Beis-Gimmel Yud-Tav-Tzadik)
Accept the prayer of Your people; strengthen us, purify us, Awesome One. (Kuf-Reish-Ayin Shin-Tes-Nun)
Mighty One, we beseech You, guard as the apple of the eye those who seek Your Oneness. (Nun-Gimmel-Dalet Yud-Kaf-Shin)
Bless them, purify them; bestow upon them forever the mercy of Your righteousness. (Beis-Tes-Reish Tzadik-Tav-Gimmel)
Powerful, Holy One, in Your abounding goodness, guide Your congregation. (Ches-Kuf-Beis Tes-Nun-Ayin)
Only and Exalted One, turn to Your people who are mindful of Your holiness. (Yud-Gimmel-Lamed Pei-Zayin-Kuf)
Accept our supplication and hear our cry, You who know secret thoughts. (Shin-Kuf-Vav Tzadik-Yud-Tav)
Blessed be the name of the glory of His kingdom forever and ever.
Happy are those who dwell in Your house; they will yet praise You forever. Happy is the people whose lot is thus; happy is the people whose G‑d is the L‑rd. A Psalm of praise by David: I will exalt You, my G‑d the King, and bless Your Name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, and extol Your Name forever and ever. The L‑rd is great and highly praised, and there is no limit to His greatness. One generation to another will laud Your works, and tell of Your mighty acts. I will speak of the splendor of Your glorious majesty and of Your wondrous deeds. They will proclaim the might of Your awesome acts, and I will recount Your greatness. They will express the remembrance of Your abounding goodness, and sing of Your righteousness. The L‑rd is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and of great kindness. The L‑rd is good to all, and His mercies extend over all His works. L‑rd, all Your works will give thanks to You, and Your pious ones will bless You. They will declare the glory of Your kingdom, and tell of Your might, to make known to men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom. Your kingship is a kingship over all worlds, and Your dominion is throughout all generations. The L‑rd supports all who fall, and straightens all who are bent. The eyes of all look expectantly to You, and You give them their food at the proper time. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. The L‑rd is righteous in all His ways, and benevolent in all His deeds. The L‑rd is close to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear Him, hears their cry and delivers them. The L‑rd watches over all who love Him, and will destroy all the wicked. My mouth will utter the praise of the L‑rd, and let all flesh bless His holy Name forever and ever. And we will bless the L‑rd from now to eternity. Praise the L‑rd.
Exalted and hallowed be His great Name. (Amen) Throughout the world which He has created according to His will. May He establish His kingship, bring forth His redemption and hasten the coming of His Moshiach. (Amen) In your lifetime and in your days and in the lifetime of the entire House of Israel, speedily and soon, and say, Amen. (Amen)
May His great Name be blessed forever and to all eternity. Blessed and praised, glorified, exalted and extolled, honored, adored and lauded be the Name of the Holy One, blessed be He. (Amen) Beyond all the blessings, hymns, praises and consolations that are uttered in the world; and say, Amen. (Amen)
My L‑rd, open my lips, and my mouth shall declare Your praise.
Blessed are You, L‑rd our G‑d and G‑d of our fathers, G‑d of Abraham, G‑d of Isaac and G‑d of Jacob, the great, mighty and awesome G‑d, G‑d most high, who bestows bountiful kindness, who creates all things, who remembers the piety of the Patriarchs, and who, in love, brings a redeemer to their children's children, for the sake of His Name. O King, Helper, Savior and Shield. Blessed are You, L‑rd, Shield of Abraham.
You are mighty forever, my L‑rd; You revive the dead; You are powerful to save. (Summer: He causes the dew to descend. Winter: He causes the wind to blow and the rain to fall.) He sustains the living with loving-kindness, revives the dead with great mercy, supports the falling, heals the sick, releases the bound, and fulfills His trust to those who sleep in the dust. Who is like You, mighty One! And who can be compared to You, King, who brings death and restores life, and causes deliverance to spring forth! You are trustworthy to revive the dead. Blessed are You, L‑rd, who revives the dead.
You are holy and Your Name is holy, and holy beings praise You daily for all eternity. Blessed are You, L‑rd, the holy G‑d.
You graciously bestow knowledge upon man and teach mortals understanding. Graciously bestow upon us from You wisdom, understanding and knowledge. Blessed are You, L‑rd, who graciously bestows knowledge.
Bring us back, our Father, to Your Torah; draw us near, our King, to Your service; and cause us to return to You in wholehearted repentance. Blessed are You, L‑rd, who desires repentance.
Forgive us, our Father, for we have sinned; pardon us, our King, for we have transgressed; for You are a good and forgiving G‑d. Blessed are You, L‑rd, gracious One who pardons abundantly.
Behold our affliction and wage our battle; redeem us speedily for the sake of Your Name, for You are a mighty redeeming G‑d. Blessed are You, L‑rd, Redeemer of Israel.
Heal us, O L‑rd, and we will be healed; help us and we will be saved, for You are our praise. Grant complete cure and healing to all our wounds, for You, G‑d, King, are a faithful and merciful healer. Blessed are You, L‑rd, who heals the sick of His people Israel.
Bless for us, L‑rd our G‑d, this year and all the varieties of its produce for good, and bestow (blessing Summer — dew and rain for a blessing Winter) upon the face of the earth. Satisfy us with Your goodness and bless our year like other good years, for blessing; for You are a good and beneficent G‑d who blesses the years. Blessed are You, L‑rd, who blesses the years.
Sound the great shofar for our freedom, raise a banner to gather our exiles, and gather us together from the four corners of the earth into our land. Blessed are You, L‑rd, who gathers the dispersed of His people Israel.
Restore our judges as in former times and our counselors as of old; remove from us sorrow and sighing; and reign over us, You alone, O L‑rd, with kindness and compassion, with righteousness and justice. Blessed are You, L‑rd, King who loves righteousness and justice.
Let there be no hope for informers, and may all the heretics and all the wicked instantly perish; may all the enemies of Your people be speedily cut off; and may You swiftly uproot, break, crush and subdue the reign of wickedness speedily in our days. Blessed are You, L‑rd, who breaks enemies and subdues the wicked.
May Your mercies be aroused, L‑rd our G‑d, upon the righteous, upon the pious, upon the elders of Your people, the House of Israel, upon the remnant of their sages, upon the righteous converts and upon us. Grant ample reward to all who truly trust in Your Name, and place our lot among them; may we never be put to shame, for we have put our trust in You. Blessed are You, L‑rd, the support and security of the righteous.
Return in mercy to Jerusalem Your city and dwell therein as You have promised; speedily establish therein the throne of David Your servant, and rebuild it, soon in our days, as an everlasting edifice. Blessed are You, L‑rd, who rebuilds Jerusalem.
Speedily cause the offspring of David Your servant to flourish, and increase his power by Your salvation, for we hope for Your salvation all day. Blessed are You, L‑rd, who causes the power of salvation to flourish.
Hear our voice, L‑rd our G‑d; merciful Father, have compassion upon us and accept our prayers in mercy and favor, for You are G‑d who hears prayers and supplications; do not turn us away empty-handed from Your presence, our King, for You hear the prayer of every mouth. Blessed are You, L‑rd, who hears prayer.
Look with favor, L‑rd our G‑d, on Your people Israel and pay heed to their prayer; restore the service to the inner sanctuary of Your House, and accept with love and favor Israel's fire-offerings and their prayer; and may the service of Your people Israel always find favor.
May our eyes behold Your return to Zion in mercy. Blessed are You, L‑rd, who restores His Divine Presence to Zion.
We thankfully acknowledge that You are the L‑rd our G‑d and the G‑d of our fathers forever. You are the strength of our life, the shield of our salvation, in every generation. We will give thanks to You and recount Your praise, for our lives which are committed into Your hand, for our souls which are entrusted to You, for Your miracles which are with us daily, and for Your wonders and favors at all times, evening, morning and noon. You are the Beneficent One, for Your mercies never cease; the Merciful One, for Your kindnesses never end; for we always place our hope in You.
And for all these, may Your Name, our King, be continually blessed, exalted and extolled forever and all time.
And all living things shall forever thank You and praise Your great Name eternally, for You are good. G‑d, You are our everlasting salvation and help, O benevolent G‑d. Blessed are You, L‑rd, Beneficent is Your Name, and to You it is fitting to offer thanks.
Bestow peace, goodness and blessing, life, graciousness, kindness and mercy, upon us and upon all Your people Israel. Bless us, our Father, all of us as one, with the light of Your countenance, for by the light of Your countenance You gave us, L‑rd our G‑d, the Torah of life and loving-kindness, righteousness, blessing, mercy, life and peace. May it be good in Your eyes to bless Your people Israel at all times and at every moment with Your peace. Blessed are You, L‑rd, who blesses His people Israel with peace.
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You, L‑rd, my Strength and my Redeemer.
My G‑d, guard my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking deceitfully. To those who curse me, let my soul be silent; and let my soul be like dust to all. Open my heart to Your Torah, and let my soul eagerly pursue Your commandments. And all who plot evil against me, speedily nullify their counsel and frustrate their plans. Let them be like chaff before the wind; let the angel of the L‑rd thrust them away. That Your beloved ones may be delivered, help with Your right hand and answer me. Do it for the sake of Your Name; do it for the sake of Your right hand; do it for the sake of Your Torah; do it for the sake of Your holiness. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You, L‑rd, my Strength and my Redeemer.
He who makes peace in His heavens, may He make peace for us and for all Israel; and say, Amen.
May it be Your will, L‑rd our G‑d and G‑d of our fathers, that the Beis Hamikdash be speedily rebuilt in our days, and grant us our portion in Your Torah.

Our G‑d and G‑d of our fathers, may our prayer come before You, and do not turn away from our supplication, for we are not so insolent and obstinate as to say before You, L‑rd our G‑d and G‑d of our fathers, that we are righteous and have not sinned; but indeed, we and our fathers have sinned.
WHILE MENTIONING EACH TRANSGRESSION, GENTLY STRIKE THE LEFT SIDE OF THE CHEST WITH A CLOSED FIST
We have transgressed, we have acted perfidiously, we have robbed, we have slandered. We have acted perversely and wickedly, we have willfully sinned, we have done violence, we have imputed falsely. We have given evil counsel, we have lied, we have scoffed, we have rebelled, we have provoked, we have been disobedient, we have committed iniquity, we have wantonly transgressed, we have oppressed, we have been obstinate. We have committed evil, we have acted perniciously, we have acted abominably, we have gone astray, we have led others astray.
We have strayed from Your good precepts and laws, and it has not profited us. You are just in all that has come upon us, for You have acted truthfully, and it is we who have acted wickedly.
You are G‑d, slow to anger; You are called the Master of mercy, and You have taught the way of repentance. Remember this day and every day the greatness of Your compassion and kindness to the offspring of Your beloved ones. Turn to us in mercy, for You are the Master of mercy. With supplication and prayer we come before You, as You made known to the humble one (Moshe) of old. Turn from Your fierce anger, as is written in Your Torah. In the shadow of Your wings may we find shelter and lodge, as on the day when the L‑rd descended in the cloud. Overlook transgression and erase guilt, as on the day He stood there with him (Moshe). Give ear to our cry and hearken to our word, as on the day He proclaimed in the Name of the L‑rd, and there it is said:
And the L‑rd passed before him and proclaimed: L‑rd, L‑rd, benevolent G‑d, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in kindness and truth; He preserves kindness for two thousand generations, forgiving iniquity, transgression and sin, and He cleanses.
Merciful and gracious One, we have sinned before You; have mercy on us and save us.
The following chapter of Psalms is recited seated and, when in the presence of the Ark, bend your head forward and cover your forehead with the tallis (or sleeve) on your right arm.
By David. To You, O L‑rd, I lift my soul. My G‑d, in You I trust; let me not be shamed; let not my enemies gloat over me. Indeed, none who hope in You will be shamed; let those who act treacherously without cause be shamed. L‑rd, make Your ways known to me; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the G‑d of my deliverance; I hope for You all day. L‑rd, remember Your mercies and Your kindnesses, for they have existed forever. Do not remember the sins of my youth nor my transgressions; remember me in accordance with Your kindness, for the sake of Your goodness, O L‑rd. Good and upright is the L‑rd, therefore He instructs sinners in the path. He guides the humble in justice, and teaches the humble His way. All the paths of the L‑rd are kindness and truth for those who keep His covenant and His testimonies. For the sake of Your Name, L‑rd, pardon my iniquity, for it is great. Whoever is a G‑d-fearing man, him will He teach the path he should choose. His soul will abide in well-being, and his descendants will inherit the earth. The secret of the L‑rd is with those who fear Him; He reveals His covenant to them. My eyes are always toward the L‑rd, for He will free my feet from the snare. Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am alone and afflicted. The troubles of my heart have increased; bring me out of my distress. Behold my affliction and my toil, and forgive all my sins. Look at my enemies, for they are many, and they hate me with a violent hatred. Guard my soul and save me; let me not be shamed, for I have put my trust in You. Integrity and uprightness will guard me, for I hope in You. G‑d, redeem Israel from all its troubles. And He will redeem Israel from all its iniquities.
Our Father, our King, You are our Father. Our Father, our King, we have no King other than You. Our Father, our King, have mercy on us. Our Father, our King, be gracious to us and answer us, for we have no meritorious deeds; deal charitably and kindly with us for the sake of Your great Name, and save us.
We know not what to do, but our eyes are turned to You. Remember Your mercies, L‑rd, and Your kindnesses, for they have been since the beginning of time. May Your kindness, L‑rd, be upon us, as we have placed our hope in You. Do not hold against us the sins of our forefathers; let Your mercies come swiftly toward us, for we have been brought very low. Be gracious to us, L‑rd, be gracious to us, for we have been surfeited with contempt. In wrath, remember to be merciful; in wrath, remember the binding of Isaac; in wrath, remember the wholehearted ones; in wrath, remember love. L‑rd, help us; may the King answer us on the day we call. For He knows our nature; He remembers that we are dust. Help us, G‑d of our deliverance, for the sake of the glory of Your Name; save us and pardon our sins for the sake of Your Name.
KADDISH TISKABAIL
Exalted and hallowed be His great Name. (Amen) Throughout the world which He has created according to His will.
(Amen)
May the prayers and supplications of the entire House of Israel be accepted before their Father in heaven; and say, Amen. (Amen)
May there be abundant peace from heaven, and a good life for us and for all Israel; and say, Amen. (Amen)
He who makes peace (During the Ten Days of Teshuvah: the peace) in His heavens, may He make peace for us and for all Israel; and say, Amen. (Amen)
From the first day of Rosh Chodesh Elul through Hoshana Rabbah, add “By David: The L‑rd is my light” (Psalm 27)
It is incumbent upon us to praise the Master of all things, to exalt the Creator of all existence, that He has not made us like the nations of the lands, nor caused us to be like the families of the earth; that He has not assigned us a portion like theirs, nor a lot like that of all their multitudes. For they bow to vanity and nothingness. But we bend the knee, bow down, and offer praise before the supreme King of kings, the Holy One, blessed be He, who stretches forth the heavens and establishes the earth, the seat of whose glory is in the heavens above, and the abode of whose majesty is in the loftiest heights. He is our G‑d; there is none else. Truly, He is our King; there is nothing besides Him, as it is written in His Torah: Know this day and take unto your heart that the L‑rd is G‑d; in the heavens above and upon the earth below there is nothing else.
And therefore we hope to You, L‑rd our G‑d, that we may speedily behold the splendor of Your might, to banish idolatry from the earth, and the false gods will be utterly destroyed; to perfect the world under the sovereignty of the Almighty. All mankind shall invoke Your Name, to turn to You all the wicked of the earth. All the inhabitants of the world will recognize and know that every knee should bend to You, every tongue should swear by Your Name. Before You, L‑rd our G‑d, they will bow and prostrate themselves, and give honor to the glory of Your Name; and they will all take upon themselves the yoke of Your kingdom. May You soon reign over them forever and ever, for the kingship is Yours, and to all eternity You will reign in glory, as it is written in Your Torah: The L‑rd will reign forever and ever. And it is said: The L‑rd shall be King over the whole earth; on that day the L‑rd shall be One and His Name One.

Do not fear sudden terror, nor the destruction of the wicked when it comes. Contrive a scheme, but it will be foiled; conspire a plot, but it will not materialize, for G‑d is with us. To your old age I am He, and to your hoary years I will sustain you; I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and deliver you.
Indeed, the righteous will extol Your Name; the upright will dwell in Your presence.
Mishnayos | For a mourner and for a yahrzeit
(7) If one immersed a bed in it, even though its legs sink into the thick mud, it is pure, because the water touches them first. A mikveh whose water is shallow: one may press down even bundles of wood, even bundles of reeds, so that the water may rise, and then go down and immerse. A needle that is lying on the steps of the cave: if one moved it back and forth in the water, once a wave has passed over it, it is pure.
Rabbi Chananya ben Akashya says: The Holy One, blessed be He, wished to grant merit to Israel; therefore He gave them Torah and mitzvos in abundance, as it is said: The L‑rd desired, for the sake of his [Israel's] righteousness, to make the Torah great and glorious.
