Yaakov Yitzchak Eizik Perkovitz was an individual who corresponded with the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, sharing stories and historical accounts related to Chassidic leaders and Jewish scholarship.

Specifically, the Rebbe corrects a detail, noting that the Rebbe Maharash's daughter-in-law was a granddaughter of the Chatam Sofer, not of the Malbim.
