I pleasantly received your letter requesting a blessing. At an auspicious time, your names will be recalled at the resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe—may the memory of a tzaddik be for a blessing—on the fulfillment of your heart's desires for good.
Certainly you know what is brought in the halachic authorities—and especially from our Rebbeim who were also halachic authorities in the revealed part of Torah (as seen in Shulchan Aruch HaRav and responsa of our Rebbe the tzt"z), as well as authorities in the hidden part of Torah—that a shochet must be exceedingly G‑d-fearing. Since responsibility is placed upon you from above, this itself is proof that you have been given the strength for it. It is understood that as great as the responsibility is, so too is the merit.
May it be G‑d's will that it be fulfilled in each one of you: "Ein veshachat ela umashach" (there is no 'and he slaughtered' except 'and he drew'), also according to Chassidic interpretation—to draw forth and elevate the animal soul until it fits with what is written: "The spirit of man ascends upward." As explained regarding drawing forth in my father-in-law's discourses on "Draw me after you; let us run," and see also Sefer HaMitzvot by the tzt"z, section Lamed Zayin.
We are approaching the month of Elul—the month of mercy.
With blessings for ever-increasing advancement in Torah study and meticulous mitzvah observance, and for good tidings in all mentioned above.
