שלום וברכה!
לקראת חג המצות, זמן חירותנו, הבא עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה, הנני להביע בזה ברכתי לכת"ר ולכל אשר לו, ברכת חג כשר ושמח ולחירות אמיתית, חירות מדאגות בגשם ומדאגות ברוח - מכל דבר המעכב עבודת ה' בשמחה ובטוב לבב,
ולהמשיך מחירות ושמחה זו בימי כל השנה כולה.
ובפרט שעבודת השם, כמצווה עלינו בתורתנו תורת חיים, הרי היא בכל עניני האדם ובמשך כל היום וכל הלילה,
וכמו שנאמר
בכל דרכיך דעהו.

וחי בהם. ומעמיד אני את כת"ר על החזקה,
כמאמר חכמינו ז"ל
, "מי שיש לו מנה רוצה מאתים, מאתים רוצה ארבע מאות", כלומר שההשיגים בעבר הגדילו המרץ והרצון והפעולות של כת"ר בהתאם ל[מ]אמר חכז"ל זה, וזכות הרבים מסייעתו.
בודאי שלמותר להדגיש שקורת רוח מיוחדה גרמו לי הידיעות על דבר הסיוע והעזר וכו' לפעולות אנשי חב"ד אשר ברחובות, ובודאי גם בזה ינהג כמאמר חכז"ל האמור.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
As we approach the Festival of Matzos, the Season of Our Freedom, which is coming upon us and all Israel for good, I hereby express my blessing to you and all yours: a kosher and joyous festival and for true freedom—freedom from material worries and spiritual worries—from anything that hinders serving Hashem with joy and gladness of heart. May this freedom and joy extend throughout the entire year.
Especially since serving Hashem, as we are commanded in our Torah of life, applies to all aspects of a person's life and throughout every day and night, as it is said: 'Bechol Derachecha Da'eihu' (In all your ways know Him).
With honor and with holiday blessings.

In due time I received your letter, and afterwards good news—the true good, good for Heaven and good for people—about your success in holy work in the Holy Land with a holy people: your community members and congregation; guiding them on the tranquil waters of our holy Torah—Torat Emet (the Torah of truth) and Torat Chaim (the Torah of life)—and its mitzvos about which it is said: 'Vachai Bahem' (and you shall live by them).
I presume you will continue as before—as our Sages say: 'One who has one hundred desires two hundred; if he has two hundred he desires four hundred,' meaning that previous achievements increase one's energy, desire, and actions accordingly. The merit of the many assists you.
Certainly it goes without saying how much pleasure I derived from hearing about your support and assistance for the activities of Chabad members in Rechovot. Surely here too you will act according to the aforementioned teaching of our Sages.
