בהוראת כ"ק אדמו"ר שליט"א מאשרים אנו קבלת מכתבך מעש"ק ט' בשבט, שנקרא בתמהון גדול, אשר כנראה גם את נתפסת לתיאור המצב על ידי העתונים הידועים וכו'.
ומצו"ב על כל פנים קטעים אחדים מהם תראי תיאור הקרוב בהרבה יותר לאמתת המצב באשר הוא, אף שגם בנוגע להמצורף אפשר לומר

מגלה טפח ומכסה טפחיים.
וגדול הכאב אשר דוקא בארץ הקודש מתרחשים מאורעות כהאמור ולא עוד אלא שהמצודה פרוסה גם בחו"ל ועד אשר גם אליך הגיעה ההשפעה האמורה.

Blessings and peace! By instruction of my honored teacher the Rebbe shlita, we acknowledge receipt of your letter from Motzaei Shabbat Kodesh 9 Shevat, which was read with great astonishment. Apparently, you too have been influenced by the description of the situation as portrayed by the well-known newspapers, etc.
At any rate, you will see in certain sections a description much closer to the true reality as it is, even though regarding what is attached one can also say in the well-known phrase: "reveals a handbreadth and covers two."
The pain is great that specifically in the Holy Land such events occur; moreover, that the net is spread even abroad to the extent that even you have been affected by this influence.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches us not to rely solely on media reports when evaluating events in Eretz Yisrael. Instead, we should seek out more accurate information and remain aware of how negative influences can spread far beyond their origin.
