חכמת נשים בנתה ביתה.
ובתוספת ביאור, הנה בפרשה מדובר על דבר בני ישראל בהיותם במדבר ובדרך לכיבוש ארץ ישראל ולבנות בית בישראל,
שדרכו
של איש לכבוש, ולכן שירת משה ובני ישראל קודמת ועיקר. אבל בהפטורה מדובר בהיות בני ישראל על אדמתם והי' צריך לשמור על בית ישראל מפני אויבים ואורבים, ובזה יפה חלק האשה מחלק האיש, שלכן נקראת

Your letters have been received, and at an auspicious time you will be mentioned at the resting place of our holy master and teacher, the Rebbe, whose yahrzeit it is, for the fulfillment of your heart's wishes for good — wishes appropriate for Jewish daughters, daughters of our mothers Sarah, Rivkah, Rachel, and Leah, who built the House of Israel.
Regarding a matter relevant to this time: It is known that our holy Rebbe the Alter Rebbe's discourse on this week's Torah portion (Shabbat Shirah) explains that although there are two songs in this portion — the song of Moshe and the Israelites and the song of Miriam the prophetess with all the women after her — nevertheless, in the haftarah there is an emphasis on the song of Devorah the prophetess.
The lesson here is that there are matters in which Jewish women and girls have a special mission and unique role beyond that of men. In general, this refers to running the home and guiding its members in Torah and mitzvah observance; regarding this it is said: 'The wisdom of women builds her house.'
To elaborate further: In our Torah portion we read about when Bnei Yisrael were in the desert on their way to conquering Eretz Yisrael and building a home for Israel. Since it is a man's way to conquer, Moshe's song comes first and is primary. But in the haftarah we read about Bnei Yisrael already settled in their land needing to protect their home from enemies and ambushers; here, a woman's role surpasses that of a man. Therefore she is called 'akeres habayis' (mainstay of the home). This is highlighted in Devorah's song in which she takes precedence while Barak ben Avinoam was secondary to her.
May it be G‑d's will that each one follows in the footsteps of Miriam the prophetess and Devorah the prophetess, fulfilling her lofty mission to be a daughter who builds a home among Israel with pride and splendor.
