לכבוד הוו"ח אי"א נו"מ עוסק בצ"צ בעל מדות תרומיות ענף עץ אבות וכו' מהרש"ז שליט"א

זה עתה חזר מנסיעתו מזכירי מר ניסן שי' ד"ר מינדל ומסר לי ע"ד פגישתו ושיחתו עם כ'. והנני מודה לכ' מקרב לב בעד הפ"ש הידידותית ורחשי לבבו, ובזה גם ת"ח בעד קבלו את מזכירי בספ"י ובשמחה למרות טרדותיו המרובות.
בהזדמנות זו רצוני להביע לכ' הרושם העמוק שעשתה עלי הידיעה ע"ד השתתפותו עם הצבור בכפר חב"ד במועד תשעה באב - יהפך לשמחה ולששון. ובודאי התכוון כ' להביע בזה גם התיחדות עם גורל אחב"י שליט"א במדינתנו לפנים, לב אחד עם תושבי הכפר שיצאו משם, ובמדה ידועה גם השתתפות ברגש המס"נ ומסורת אבות החודר את כפר חב"ד תושביו. ואני תפלה שתושבי הכפר שהם ראשונים לבקיעת המסך - שיפתחו הצנור ליציאה המונית משם במשך הזמן הקרוב, שערי רחמים למעלה שלא ננעלו - יפתחו שערים למטה ליציאת אחב"י מן המיצר אל המרחב, ויה"ר שיהי' זה בקרוב ממש, ונזכה לסמוך גאולה לגאולה ולראות בנחמת ציון וירושלים בעגלא ובזמן קריב.
ובהתאם למשאת נפש הנ"ל, בודאי שכ' יוסיף ויוסיף להתענין בהרחבת גבולות הכפר וכוח קליטתו, ובפרט אשר ההשגחה העליונה זיכתה את כ' בעת הזאת ביכולת ואפשריות לפעול למען הכפר כהנה וכהנה. ותקותי חזקה שינצל אפשריות זו במילואה, ואין מזרזין אלא למזורזין.
הנני לאשר בתודה רבה קבלת מכתבו הקודם, ועוד אשוב אליו כיאות. ולא באתי בזה אלא בעיקר להביע רחשי לבבי הנ"ל ובהקדם הראוי.

Just now my secretaries Mr. Nisan and Dr. Mindel returned from their trip and informed me about their meeting and conversation with you. I sincerely thank you for your warm greetings and heartfelt sentiments, and also thank you for receiving my secretaries so graciously and joyfully despite your many obligations.
On this occasion, I wish to express to you the deep impression made on me by the news of your participation with the community in Kfar Chabad during Tisha B'Av—may it be transformed to joy and gladness. Surely your intention was also to express unity with our Jewish brethren in our country in earlier times, one heart with the residents of the village who left from there, and to some extent also participation in the feeling of self-sacrifice and ancestral tradition that permeates Kfar Chabad and its inhabitants.
I pray that the residents of the village—who are pioneers in breaking through barriers—will open the channel for a mass exodus from there in the near future; that the gates of mercy above, which have never been closed, will open gates below for our Jewish brethren to go from distress to relief. May it be G‑d's will that this happen very soon, so we may merit to connect redemption to redemption and see the consolation of Zion and Jerusalem speedily in our days.
In accordance with this aspiration, I am sure you will continue to take an interest in expanding the boundaries of the village and its absorption capacity—especially since Divine Providence has granted you at this time both ability and opportunity to act on behalf of Kfar Chabad in many ways. My strong hope is that you will utilize this opportunity fully; "one only urges those who are already eager."
I hereby gratefully acknowledge receipt of your previous letter; I will respond to it properly soon. The main purpose of this letter was to express my above heartfelt sentiments promptly.
