לאחר הפסק ארוך, נתקבל מכתבו מביע תנחומין בקשר עם פטירת ידידנו, וידיה כל איש מישראל, ר' פנחס תודרוס ע"ה. ויהי רצון שמכאן ולהבא יהי' תוכן המכתבים שבינינו ובכלל אך שמח. ולא עוד אלא יהי רצון שגם תוכן מכתבים אלו יביא לעידוד לפעילות בשטח שהתעסק בו המנוח - הפצת היהדות המסורתית ועזר לאחב"י, מיוסדים על הסיסמא המשולשת של תורת החסידות דאהבת ישראל, אהבת התורה ואהבת ה' - חד הוא.
ובודאי אשר ידידי המנוח, אשר בלאו הכי סייעו לו בפעולות האמורות, יוסיפו בזה מכאן ולהבא כדי למלאות החלל עד כמה שאפשר, ומרצו של כ' גם הוא בודאי יורתם לפעולות האמורות.
נצטערתי להידיעה בהערה בשולי מכתבו הנ"ל אשר מצב בריאותו לא הי' בסדר, ואני תפילה ותקוה שלעת קבלתו מכתבי זה כבר הוטב והולך וטוב.
ולקראת חג השבועות, זמן מתן תורתנו, הבא עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה, הנני לאחל לכ' ולכל הנלוים אליו - בנוסח כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר - קבלת התורה בשמחה ובפנימיות.

After a long pause, your letter was received expressing condolences regarding the passing of our friend—truly a friend to every Jew—Reb Pinchas Todros, of blessed memory. May it be G‑d's will that from now on the content of our correspondence—and in general—be only joyful. Moreover, may it be G‑d's will that even these letters bring encouragement to activities in the field in which the departed was involved: spreading traditional Judaism and helping our fellow Jews, based on the threefold slogan of Chassidus—Ahavas Yisrael (love of a fellow Jew), Ahavas HaTorah (love of Torah), and Ahavas Hashem (love of G‑d)—which are one.
Certainly, our departed friend's associates—who already assisted him in these activities—will increase their efforts from now on to fill the void as much as possible, and your own energy will surely also be directed toward these activities.
I was saddened by the note at the margin of your above letter stating that your health was not in order. I pray and hope that by the time you receive this letter you have already improved and continue to get better.
As we approach Shavuos—the time of the giving of our Torah—which is coming upon us and all Israel for good and blessing, I wish you and all those connected with you—in the wording of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe—a receiving of the Torah with joy and inwardness.
With honor and blessing for good news in all mentioned above.
