לויט ווי פארצייכענט אין מיין זכרון, האב איך שוין אייך געשריבען, וויבאלד איר זייט געווען א תלמיד פון ישיבת תומכי תמימים אין ווילנא, מיסודם של רבותינו נשיאינו, או מיר זיינען פארזיכערט געווארען, אז קדושה טרעט ניט אפ פון איר ארט, אויך שרייבט רבנו הזקן, וואס דער יאר איז דער אונדערט פופציגסטער הסתלקות הילולא שלו, אז יחוד זה למעלה הוא נצחי (תניא פרק כ"ד), האף איך אז איר באנוגענט זיך ניט מיט האבען א קביעות אין לערנען תורת הנגלה נאר האט אויך קביעות בלימוד תורת החסידות, און טוט אויך אלס מעגליכע צו פארשפרייטען תורת החסידות ועניני' וואו נאר איר קענט גרייכען, לויט דער הדגשה פון תורת החסידות אין דעם ענין פון אהבת ישראל, וזכות הרבים מסייעתו.
און איך וועל זיין צופרידען צו הערען פון אייך גוטע בשורות אין דאס אויבען געזאגטע.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from Sunday: At an auspicious time you will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzukal lehavdil ben chayim mezichro tzaddik l'vrachah (of blessed memory), according to the content of your writing. May it be the will of Hashem that just as you wrote your request, you should also write good news about this matter. We are now coming from the days of Pesach, the season of our freedom, liberation from all confusing matters. The merit of tzedakah (according to the attached receipt) should assist you in this as well.
As noted in my records, I have already written to you—since you were a student at Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim in Vilna, founded by our Rebbeim and leaders—we are assured that holiness does not depart from its place. The Alter Rebbe also writes (and this year is the 150th anniversary of his passing) that such unity above is eternal (Tanya ch. 24). I hope that you are not satisfied with having a set time for studying Nigleh alone but also have a fixed time for learning Chassidus. You should also do everything possible to spread Chassidus and its teachings wherever you can reach, in accordance with the emphasis in Chassidus on Ahavas Yisrael; and the merit of many helps him.
I will be pleased to hear good news from you regarding all the above.
