Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the eve of Shabbat Kodesh in which you ask about the matter of immersion in a mikveh.
The greatness of this matter is explained in many places, especially in connection with the service of prayer. See Likkutei Torah by our master the Alter Rebbe, author of the Tanya—the halachic authority in the mystical dimension of Torah—and Shulchan Aruch—the halachic authority in the revealed dimension—in Parshas Tavo 43b; and further to what is explained in several books that the Baal Shem Tov merited even loftier matters because of his involvement with mikveh. Also see the discourses on mikveh by the Mitteler Rebbe, son of the Alter Rebbe. Many books on this topic have been collected in Sefer Taharas Yom Tov, section Yoreh Deah page 365 and onward.
I am certain you know about the three well-known daily study cycles: a) to learn each day a portion of Chumash with Rashi’s commentary according to that week’s parsha division (on Sunday from the beginning until Sheini, Monday from Sheini until Shlishi, etc.); b) to recite each day after morning prayers the monthly Tehillim portion as divided for each day of the month; c) to learn each day a portion of Tanya as divided for all days of the year. At any rate, you should keep these from now on.
Blessings for good news in all mentioned above.
In several books: see Kesser Shem Tov section 219. In Discourses on Mikveh by the Mitteler Rebbe: in Siddur Im Dach vol. II p. 156a and onward.
Summary
The Rebbe highlights both spiritual preparation through immersion in a mikveh—especially before prayer—and consistency in daily study cycles as essential practices for personal growth and connection to G‑d.
