בעת רצון יזכירו אותו וזוגתו שתליט"א על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע מתאים לתוכן כתבו, ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב בזה, ובפרט אשר הבטיחונו רז"ל כיון דאיפלג איפליג הרי יתגבר כת"ר בהנהגת קהלתו קדישא להוסיף ולהפיץ ביניהם לימודי תורתנו הק' הנגלה והחסידות והידור בקיום המצות, והרי הובטחנו הבא לטהר [וידוע דיוק רבנו הזקן לטהר (ולא רק ליטהר) גם אחרים] מסייעין אותו, והרי זה ג"כ מוסיף ברכה בנוגע לזה המוסיף ושולל ענינים המבלבלים וכו' - שהרי אי אפשר שיבין וכו' והוא חולה ובפרט כשרבים צריכים לו (עיין הלכות דיעות להרמב"ם סוף פרק ג' וריש פרק ד').
והרי מתקרבים אנו לחדש אלול חדש הרחמים, אשר כדברי רבנו הזקן המלך נמצא בשדה ומקבל את כל אדם בספ"י ומראה פנים שוחקות לכולם וכו' (לקו"ת ד"ה אני לדודי).

After the longest pause, your letter from the 15th of Menachem Av was received. At an auspicious time, you and your wife (may she live long) will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory, in accordance with the content of your letter. May it be G‑d's will that you share good news in this regard. Especially since our Sages have assured us: "Since he has begun, he will succeed," may you strengthen yourself in leading your sacred congregation to increase and spread among them the study of our holy Torah—both its revealed and Chassidic aspects—and enhance observance of mitzvos.
We have been promised: "One who comes to purify [and it is well known that our master the Alter Rebbe emphasized 'to purify' (not just oneself but also others)] is assisted." This also brings additional blessing regarding removing confusing matters and so forth—for it is impossible for one to understand... and he is ill, especially when many depend on him (see Rambam Hilchos Deos end ch. 3 and beginning ch. 4).
We are now approaching the month of Elul—the month of mercy—when, as the Alter Rebbe says: "The King is in the field and receives everyone graciously and shows a smiling face to all," etc. (Likkutei Torah on Ani LeDodi).
