Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter in which you write about your health situation and the opinion of the doctors.
You are correct in writing that there are many cases similar to yours, and perhaps even more severe ones, where through proper conduct the stone passes without surgery. This conduct includes hot baths and drinking significant amounts of fluids; it is also customary that these drinks contain some vegetable fat or similar substances. It is worthwhile to consult the doctors about this.
Your letter does not clearly specify the location of the stone, as sometimes it is possible to reach it with suitable forceps to break it up, making its passage easier.
May Hashem, Who heals all flesh and performs wonders, heal you through appropriate treatment and a suitable doctor.
Certainly it is unnecessary to elaborate on the importance of increasing in Torah and mitzvos. In addition to being a commandment—and this itself is essential—to always ascend in holiness, such an increase brings additional blessing from Hashem. This is well known.
You surely know about the three daily study portions—Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya—that are well known; at the very least you should keep them from now on.
With blessing for good news in all of the above.
Summary
The Rebbe gives practical health advice regarding kidney stones while stressing that spiritual growth—especially increasing Torah study and mitzvah observance—brings added blessing from Hashem alongside medical efforts.
