מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מר"ה לאילנות והקודם לו - עם המוסגר בהם. והזכרתיו וב"ב שיחיו על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, זצוקלל"ה נבג"מ זי"ע בעת רצון.
ת"ל על מ"ש אודות הענינים השונים, ובודאי גם להבא ינהג כן וכל שיפרט בזה - ה"ז משובח.
במ"ש אודות ההפצה, להדפיס פרוספקטן קטלוגן מודעות וכו'. מובן שכיון שאין הכנסה, כנראה, מכל ענין ההפצה - ועכ"פ אין ידוע כאן עד"ז - אין להרבות בהוצאות הנ"ל, ומה שכתבתי אני אודות מודעות וכו'- לא היתה כוונתי באופן שירבה בהוצאות למכביר, אלא ע"י מודעות בבתי הכנסיות אצל מוכרי ספרים וכיו"ב, ולא להדפיס פרוספקטין וכו' וכו'- אשר כפי הנסיון מכל עניני אנ"ש באה"ק ת"ו שעד עתה, הנה תומ"י מתגדלת ההוצאה למאות לירות וברובא דרובא במשך זמן קצר גם לאלפים. וכמו שכבר אירע בענינים שכמה אנשים כתבו לי דבר ברור שזוהי הוצאה כך וכך ובאותות ומופתים על זה, וכעבור שני חדשים כשבא הדבר לידי פועל היתה ההוצאה חמש פעמים ככה, ואין זה גוזמא אלא מעשה בפועל, ובדידי הווה עובדא, ועד"ז הוא גם בנוגע למאמרים בעתונים ע"ד הספרים - שבכל מדינה ומדינה המנהג הוא שכשנותנים טופס אחד של הספר ונכתב מאמר (מובן כשהספר מעניין וכשיש היכירות בהמערכת), ואם אפשר לעשות כזה גם בהנ"ל טוב, אבל אם יהיו הוצאות נוספות ע"י זה אין לעשות, כי אז אין מעצור לרוחם וכנראה שאין דבר מעכב.
כינוס תלמידי בתי ספר הרשת בכפר דבר גדול הוא ביותר. ובהתאם לזה הנה מובן שאי- ההתדברות אפילו בכגון דא בין שאר בתי הספר וביה"ס... מכאיב ביותר וביותר.
ומ"ש שהסיבה שבתחלה היתה המחשבה והמטרה ללוד ולבסוף דבר מצאו מקום בכפר, הרי אין זה שייך להנ"ל - כי כמו שבאו משאר בתי ספר הרי גם הנ"ל יכולים היו להשתתף, וכבר ידוע מכתב רבנו הזקן שצריך להזהר ביותר ממחלוקת ובפרט ממחלוקת, שלפ"ד, אלו החולקים, הוא לשם שמים ובפרט בארצנו הק' אשר חורבנה בבית שני הי' אקמצא ובר קמצא וכו'. וחוששני אשר אי-ההתפתחות דישיבת תומכי תמימים דלוד- אחת הסיבות בזה הוא גם הנ"ל, שאנ"ש אין יכולים להתדבר ביניהם, ובמילא אין הענין דתשועה ברוב יועץ וכו'.
בודאי ימשיך גם להבא באותם הענינים אודותם כותב, וגם השאר שכותב אודותם שהם פעילים בזה - יגדילו פעולותיהם.
בברכה לבשו"ט בכל הנ"ל, וכן בהנוגע לעניניו הפרטים ובפרט מבריאות זוגתו. תי'

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from Tu BiShvat and the one before it—with its enclosures. I mentioned you and your family for blessing at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory, at an auspicious time.
Thank G‑d for what you wrote about the various matters, and certainly you will continue this way in the future; the more details you provide—the better.
Regarding what you wrote about outreach—printing prospectuses, catalogs, advertisements, etc.—it is understood that since there is apparently no income from these outreach activities (at least none known here), expenses should not be increased. What I wrote previously about advertisements was not intended to encourage excessive spending but rather to use notices in synagogues, bookstores, and similar venues—not to print prospectuses and so on. Experience with all activities of Anash in Eretz HaKodesh until now shows that expenses quickly grow into hundreds of lira—and in most cases within a short time even thousands. This has already happened: several people wrote me with clear calculations and proofs about costs; two months later when things were implemented, expenses were five times higher—not an exaggeration but a real occurrence that happened to me personally. The same applies regarding articles in newspapers about books—in every country the custom is that if a copy of the book is given and an article is written (provided the book is interesting and there are connections with the editorial staff), this can be done; but if it incurs additional expenses it should not be done—otherwise there is no limit to their demands as experience shows.
The gathering of students from network schools in Kfar is a very significant matter. Accordingly, it is clear that lack of communication—even in such cases—between other schools and this school... is extremely painful.
You wrote that initially the plan was for Lod but ultimately it took place in Kfar; this does not relate to the above—just as students came from other schools so too could those mentioned have participated. It is well known from the Alter Rebbe's letter how careful one must be to avoid disputes—especially those considered "for the sake of Heaven," particularly in our Holy Land where destruction during the Second Temple was due to Kamtza and Bar Kamtza, etc.
I fear that one reason for the lack of development at Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Lod is also this issue—that Anash cannot communicate among themselves; thus there cannot be "salvation through many counselors," etc.
Certainly you will continue your activities as before regarding those matters you write about; also those others whom you mention as being active should increase their efforts.
Blessings for good news in all these matters, as well as regarding your personal affairs—especially your wife's health.
Summary
