מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבם מכ"ד אלול אחרי השתיקה והפסק הארוך, והנה אין הזמן גרמא לכתיבת מכתבים עתה ומוסג"פ מכתבי כללי אשר ישמש ג"כ בתור מכתב פרטי אליהם, ובטח יפרסמוהו באופן המתאים בחוגים היותר רחבים.
לפלא אשר לאחר שכתבו לי שעומדים הם בקישור עם צעירי אגו"ח דתל אביב ובכ"ז לא השתתפו בבטאון שי"ל לח"י אלול באופן ניכר ובטח יתקנו את זה בהזדמנות המתאימה.
בשאלתם אם לשלוח לכל הר"י ומנהלי הישיבת מכתב המובא בתחלת קונטרס העבודה ועץ חיים, הנה לדעתי עדיין מוקדם הזמן לזה, אף שיש לפרסם את הנ"ל בין חבריהם ומכיריהם מבלי הפליה באיזה ישיבה הוא לומד, אבל לעלות בחומה וברעש איני יודע אם יצליח בזה בנוגע לפועל הרי זוהי תכלית כל העבודה שתבוא למעשה בפועל ואם אפשר בקול דממה דקה ה"ז הוא טוב וכמרז"ל והלכת בדרכיו מה הוא כו' והלא לא ברעש ולא ברוח ולא באש כו' כ"א בקול דממה דקה.
בברכת חתימה וגמר חתימה טובה לכל אחד ואחד מהם בפרט ולכולם ביחד אשר חפץ ה' בידם יצליח להפיץ המעיינות חוצה ולעשות מהחוץ פנים ומהמעינות המים אשר לים מכסים כי מלאה הארץ דעה אתה ה'.
נ"ב. לפלא שאין מזכירים במכתבם אודות תכנית עבודה לחדש תשרי ובטח לא יהי' חסרון בפועל רק שלא כתבו אודות זה.

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 24th of Elul after a long silence and break. Now is not an opportune time for writing letters, so I am enclosing my general letter which will also serve as a personal letter to you. Surely you will publicize it appropriately among broader circles.
It is surprising that after writing to me that you are in contact with Tzeirei Aguch in Tel Aviv, nevertheless you did not participate noticeably in the bulletin published for Chai Elul. Surely you will correct this at the next opportunity.
Regarding your question whether to send to all roshei yeshiva and yeshiva directors the letter printed at the beginning of Kuntres HaAvodah and Etz Chaim: In my opinion, it is still too early for this, though it should be publicized among your friends and acquaintances without discrimination as to which yeshiva they study in. But to make a big commotion about it—I do not know if this will succeed practically. The ultimate goal is that all work should come to practical fruition; if possible, quietly is best—as our Sages say: "And you shall walk in His ways," just as He does—not with noise or wind or fire but with a still small voice.
With blessings for inscription and sealing for good for each one individually and all together; may the will of Hashem succeed through your hands to spread the wellsprings outward and transform the outside into inside, and from the wellsprings—waters that cover the sea—so that "the earth will be filled with knowledge of You, Hashem."
P.S. It is surprising that you did not mention in your letter any work plan for Tishrei; surely there will be no lack in practice—it was just not written about.
