במענה על הודעותו מקשוה"ת של בתו תחי, יתן השי"ת שתהי' בשעה טובה ומוצלחת ובבנין עדי עד על יסודי התורה ומצוה כפי שהם מוארים במאור שבתורה זוהי תורת החסידות.
והנה ידוע דרך הקדושה שהוא לאט לאט, ובמילא, צריך הי' למצוא דרכים המתאימים לקרב את המיול"ח, לתורת החסידות דרכי' והנהגותי', ובפרט ע"פ מרז"ל דחתנו כבנו, וידוע שמצות חינוך בבן היא מוטלת על האב, ובפרט מצות חינוך דתלמוד תורה שהוא מדאורייתא על האב, וכפסק רבינו ז"ל בהלכות ת"ת בתחלתו ובכמה מקומות. ופשוט אשר לימוד תורת החסידות הוא בכלל זה.

In response to your notification regarding your daughter's engagement, may Hashem grant that it be at an auspicious and successful time, and that their home be everlasting, founded on Torah and mitzvah as they are illuminated by the light within Torah—namely, the teachings of Chassidus.
It is known that the path of holiness progresses gradually; therefore, one must find appropriate ways to draw the groom closer to the teachings of Chassidus—its ways and customs—especially in light of our sages' statement that a son-in-law is like a son. It is known that the mitzvah of educating a son is incumbent upon the father, particularly the mitzvah of Torah study, which is biblically mandated for the father, as ruled by our Rebbe z"l at the beginning of Hilchos Talmud Torah and in several places. It is obvious that learning Chassidus is included in this.
