We gratefully acknowledge receipt of your letters from the 5th of Shevat and from Parshas Yisro, along with the check for eight dollars, eighty-four cents, and one dollar on your account. Due to circumstances beyond our control we delayed sending you the tablets to your address. The other items you requested we have sent you, and surely everything has already reached you.

We thank you for your involvement in distributing our booklets until now, and without a doubt in the future you will increase your strength—to be among those who merit themselves and bring merit to the many—more and more.

Explaining the great value of these matters is unnecessary. It is known from our Sages—Kiddushin 40a—that merit produces fruit: just as from a small seed grows a large tree that bears fruit, so too by causing an acquaintance to do even a seemingly small act at first glance—such as studying a sichah of my father-in-law the Rebbe or telling his son a story from our Sages—over time this may bring about good results that cannot be foreseen in advance. And one mitzvah brings another endlessly.
