Shalom u'Vrachah!

As is my custom to seek guidance in every matter from books or past events, I have also found here the words of our master, the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya and Shulchan Aruch: when the fulfillment of something is delayed for a period of time, it is proper to make up for the deficiency by doubling one's actions and at a doubled pace. Printed in Likkutei Sichos vol. 13 p. 291.

Summary

When progress is delayed, one should respond by increasing both effort and speed, following the teachings of the Alter Rebbe in Tanya and Shulchan Aruch.
