צו דער געלעגנהייט פון חג הסיום, שיק איך מיין ברכה צו אלעמען וועלכע נעמען אן אנטייל אין שמחה של תורה, ווארום זיכער פארשטייען אלע אז א סיום אין א ישיבה בכלל און אין דער ליובאוויטשער ישיבה בפרט איז איגנטלעך א התחלה פון א העכערע מדריגה אין תורה און מצוות, און דער אויבערשטער זאל געבן אז דאס זאל טאקע זיין אזוי בא די תלמידים מסיימים אין דער פולסטער מאס.
היי-יאר וועט דער חג הסיום זיכער שטיין אונטערן צייכן פון חג הגאולה יב-יג תמוז. דער ענין פון זכרון בא אידן - איז דער לימוד דערפון. די טעג פון יב-יג תמוז דערמאנען און לערנען יעדן איינעם פון אונז, אז מען טאר זיך ניט רעכענען מיט קיינע שוועריקייטן, אפילו גאר גרויסע, כדי מעגלעך צו מאכן דעם לימוד התורה, און לימוד - על מנת לעשות ולקיים, קיום המצוות בפועל. און אויב דאס איז אזוי אין העלפן אנדערע, איז דאס זיכער אזוי אין באצוג צו זיך אליין. און נאך א עיקר'דיגע נקודה אין דעם איז, אז אויב מען וויל מיט אן אמת און מיט א פעסטע החלטה, קען מען איבערקומען אלע שוועריקייטן. כאטש ווער קען זיך גלייכן צו די נשיאי ישראל, אבער יעדער איינער לויט זיין מעמד אין מצב האט די נויטיקע כוחות דערצו, בפרט אז די שוועריקייטן זיינען גאר ניט אין פארגלייך מיט די וועלכע האבן עקזיסטירט אין יענע טעג און אין יענער מדינה.
השם יתברך זאל אייך מצליח זיין צו שטייגן אין לימוד התורה ביראת שמים וקיום מצוותי' בהידור, בשמחה ובטוב לבב.

To the students of Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch for the siyum celebration, Montreal. May Hashem be upon them and grant them life.
Shalom u'Vrachah!
On the occasion of the siyum celebration, I send my blessing to all who participate in the joy of Torah. Surely everyone understands that a siyum in a yeshiva in general—and especially in the Lubavitch yeshiva—is actually a beginning of a higher level in Torah and mitzvos. May the Alm-ghty grant that this should indeed be so for the students completing their studies, to the fullest extent.
This year, the siyum celebration will surely be marked by the theme of Chag HaGeulah—Yud-Beis–Yud-Gimmel Tammuz. The concept of remembrance among Jews is to learn from it. The days of Yud-Beis–Yud-Gimmel Tammuz remind and teach each one of us not to be deterred by any difficulties—even very great ones—in order to make Torah study possible; and that study should be with the intent to do and fulfill mitzvos in practice.
If this is so when helping others, it is certainly true regarding oneself. Another important point is that if one truly wants and makes a firm decision, one can overcome all difficulties. Although who can compare themselves to the Nesi'ei Yisrael, nevertheless each person according to his own standing has the necessary strengths for this—especially since today's difficulties are nothing compared to those that existed then and there.
May Hashem bless you with success to advance in Torah study with awe of Heaven and fulfillment of mitzvos with excellence, with joy and gladness of heart.
