Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from Motzaei Shabbat Tetzaveh, in which you write about the apartment exchange and that, G‑d willing, you are returning to your home in the new village, and your concern regarding what is written in Sefer Chassidim, etc.
This does not apply to your case, since even in the interim your son lived there—d'bara k'ra'a d'avuha (the child is like the leg of the father)—and it was also a condition that you (the writer) would return after a short time. Additionally, above all else, the entire village was founded and is managed by my father-in-law, the Rebbe, leader of Israel, with his permission.
In general regarding such matters, it is sufficient to follow its original ruling and not add more. However, since you raised the issue, it is appropriate that before you return to your home, there should be public Torah study there for three days—at least once per day. This establishes a chazakah both in frequency and in days. After this you may live there with peace, joy, and gladness of heart.
Certainly you are keeping the three well-known daily study portions of Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya. It is also proper to have your current tefillin and mezuzot checked and to install them in your aforementioned residence.
Blessings for good news in all of the above.
Summary
The Rebbe clarifies that halachic concerns about returning to a former residence do not apply when conditions differ as described. He encourages public Torah study before moving back and stresses maintaining daily learning and checking tefillin and mezuzot for spiritual protection.
